Finally decided to try this place. I went the week after grand opening to try it, but several of us waited in line never to even be acknowledged by taking an order. 2 groups after me the same. All of us left just decided to move on. Now that the hype of something new was over and I figured customer service was better I went again. Pretty quick service now. The rest of the details below are probably why. I ordered a double smash burger and natural cut fries to go. $16, but heck why not, gave a dollar for tip for a to go order. Have to say not at all impressed. $6 fries that were burnt, most were the crispy ones with no potato inside. The others were just soggy and nasty. You probably get about half a regular sized potato if that. For $6, definitely not even close to worth it. Wendy’s Natural Cut fries are 10x better, cheaper, and you get more. Double Smash Burger, nothing special. It was cooked fine, but no flavor, and a soggy bun…only have a couple minute drive, so it wasn’t the time before I ate it that made a difference. I was disappointed enough I didn’t even bother eating it all. My opinion, better off as a food truck at events where people buy the food because that is all that’s there. The restaurant is something of a fad and not sure I see it lasting. Many many other better options for a burger or similar style food for that price point that is a lot better and legit seating to enjoy eating. Once was enough for me just to...
Read moreThe food is tasty but you can tell they’re just getting used to running an establishment here. I did an online order and when I arrived, I went to the pick-up area as instructed online. However, the bags of food aren’t labeled. You have to open the bags to figure out if it’s yours. I looked at the only order waiting for pick-up. My food wasn’t there so I waited. There were half a dozen other people waiting at the tables. No staff to talk to other than a cashier who came and went. About ten minutes later, another patron came in with a bag and was complaining that it was the wrong meal. I heard them state what they had ordered and it was the bagged to-go order on the counter. As it turns out, they had taken my order home by accident. I took it but it was was a bit cool by then since some time had passed. The other patron was getting theirs refunded. I did take mine home since I was hungry and it hadn’t been touched or nibbled at. It was still good.
My advice for the staff is to label the bags with names. It’s a new process for them so I didn’t make a fuss. They’ll get a...
Read moreThis was our first adventure to the Potato Coop, my kids were very loud; however, the cashier was less then happy to be taking orders. He seemed more annoyed than anything else with having to take orders from customers and just didn't seem super welcoming. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It was just sub par. My children receive the macaroni and cheese with fries and the macaroni and cheese tasted like someone dumped a bottle salt into it. It is extremely salty to the point of just being plain salty. The fries are so-so and remind me of five guys fries. The burger was very good, I would order that again.
The price is steep. I ordered 2 mac n cheese with fries, 2 lemonades, 2 bottles of soda, a burger and fries which equaled over $48! The area is beautiful to sit and chat.
I might return, but the pricing is a bit outrageous to be honest. Why not charge more for the burger and incorporate fries to lower prices and throw in a drink. Just seems like a nickle and...
