I have been driving into FLATWOODS (Sutton) for years to fill up at the SHELL (now sadly gone as is the restaurant beside it) and only glanced at the sign for Luzander's. However, this trip I decided to give this out-of-the-way place a try....and so glad I did!!! This is REALLY a "hidden gem" and must be popular with locals as there is no advertising on the highway. Set way back at the end door in a small strip mall when you open the door the INTERIOR is absolutely HUGE!!!! Very kitsch decorations and a large number of tables with TUB CHAIRS and a stage area which is used occasionally for music on the weekends so I was told. Very helpful and friendly lady and a very fast kitchen which served up a daily special of tender and delicious pulled pork on a bun. Paired with flavourful and creamy cole slaw (the way I like it) this was a terrific reward for driving a bit further up the hill. I HIGHLY recommend any travelers to locate this place and head in for a wonderful experience and...
Read moreWalked in, first impression very clean, cozy and comfortable place to eat for the area. Service was quick. I ordered a BLT, my husband ordered the cheeseburger and our granddaughter the pepperoni pizza. Granddaughter said it was good like a homemade pizza. Husband's burger was an fresh patty not frozen. He said it was good just soggy from the tomato and falling apart. My BLT was not good. Had a bad taste and very skimpy on the BLT part. They offered to remake it but I declined. The homemade chips were good. They took the BLT off of the bill but we would have paid anyway. Prices were very reasonable. We will give it 1 more try because let's face it.... we all have off days and sometimes we don't realize there is an issue until there is an issue. As someone who works in the food industry I totally get it. I hope they thrive here and do great. I will give e a review after...
Read morePulling into the parking lot you are greeted with a big Dale Earnheart 3 on a sign that reads 3 girls diner. However entering the building was greeted with a smug face and rustic decor. The waitress didn't seem friendly from the start. We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 meals. The deep fried pickles wasn't fully breaded, the blooming onion was still doughy but the chicken quesadilla was great. On to the meals the turkey bacon ranch wrap had soggy tomatoes, hard bacon and was flat as a pancake. The steak was tough but the eggs and hashbrowns were okay. The only flavor the western omelet had was burnt onions and the toast she received was very salty. As soon as our food hit the table the waitress brought our check but didn't offer any refills. Over all my friends and I did not enjoy...
