Shoney's — Restaurant in Sutton

We had not been to Shoneys for some time due to it not being good the last time we was there,but hey we thought give it another try.I have to say the service,food is not like it use to be yrs ago.I have been a waitress,worked cashier,salad bar,cooked etc.I will start out the waitress never introduced herself like they use to and when did the waitresses start getting sides from the bar??When things have sat there all dried up which is the salad bar persons fault,but it led to nothing but extra dishes and confusion on her part.It use to be these sides came from the kitchen.The hamburger steaks if you could call them that has really went down hill they were so thin and dry,the famous 🍓 pie don't even bother,why don't they take the time to slice them anymore??The other pies shouldn't even be on display they looked horrible and Apparently someone doesn't care what they look or taste like.I am not one to just complain and I could go on about what has went wrong with this Shoneys but I'm gonna stop.Get better cooks,waitresses that are not flying high,cashiers that will actually listen when there is a complaint and not just look at you.I am really disappointed in what use to be a great Shoneys has went...

I had shrimp plate and exchanged cole slaw for broccoli. Looked and tasted old, hard to chew, and very woody. Guess I acted like Gordon Ramsey and the f bomb was said, then I didn't get any refills on soda or my 95 year old grandma a refill on her coffee or strawberry pie, called manager over he picked up my check and told me to leave, said good luck with that. He threatened the cops and said good luck with that! And said in going back sitting with my grandma as she finishes her food. Oh yeah we hadn't even been served water yet either.

I was a manager and storee trainer in 1985 to 1988 and told the guy he broke Shoney's golden rule, The Customer is always right! But that was back when they were a good restaurant that served great food FAST! 7 MINUTES OR LESS.

And I'm on vacation! As I left the WV State police was pulling in as we were hitting the highway. Finished up our free meal and later!

Ron Spry was my Area manager and a great influence back then. Dan Adams Too. Shoney's Sucks today, even nasty in Nashville there home city and I see why they are closing...

It seems like it's hit or miss now with Shoneys. This is the second time I've eaten at this location. We had stopped even going to the Shoneys restaurant in Summersville, WV years ago. So when my husband and I decided to eat here one evening a few months ago, we were both pleasantly surprised. It was seafood night on the bar which was great for us. The food was great that evening and we were really happy that we could dine at a place we used to go to quite frequently. But I hate to say stopping there with my daughter and her husband earlier this week has almost changed my mind. It was Wednesday evening and they had tacos and burritos and chicken fajitas and some other dishes on the food bar. I didn't eat much considering there wasn't much to choose from. The food just wasn't very appetizing at all. Idk why or if something changed but I was not satisfied or happy this time. Our server only came to the table once and left the bill. We didn't see her again. I'm hoping it was just a bad evening all around and doesn't continue to...
