Ngl I just had a great experience at another black business with other black employees and was excited to try this one but noâŠ. Not only was I cheated over a Samâs club pumpkin cookie and charged $7 for it when I mentioned this the cashier said oh we didnât update the price in the system so I had to charge you for two. Mind you my donut was big and only $3.50 so okay fishy. Secondly no mood message written on the cup at all isnât that the point of the cups? lol đ anyway didnât feel the love didnât feel the experience wonât be returning because I really felt cheated about that cookie. She took my receipt and threw it away but I had already text it to myself because I just couldnât rap my mind around paying $7 for a cookie that I can get an entire pack for $7 also the money is NEVER the issue clearly where this location is should tell you that ⊠but it was the feeling of being cheated and lied to upon not receiving the full experience/ service. I even tipped trying to push the feeling down but nah I know when Iâm being lied to and that was unacceptable⊠because if that was the case she would have said something to me beforehand about the additional charge on my tab thatâs not how you building lasting relationships with customers that bring you more business. I hate that I feel this way especially with a black business we came to support our people but the saying goes âŠ. Not all kinfolk ⊠hmmm.    Read moreWe went around 11 AM. Itâs now 12:38, and we just left empty handed. I normally wouldnât leave a negative review because I understand mistakes happen, but the rude attitude from one staff member was unacceptable.
AFTER we placed our order and paid, we were told it would be a long wait, but not that it would be over an hour. Thatâs something that should have been mentioned upfront so customers can decide if they want to stay or go elsewhere.
After waiting all that time, we found out they never even had our order in the system. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived after us were receiving their food. When I asked why, the woman I spoke to gave me a dismissive and hostile response, saying they had âa lot going onâ and then RELUCTANTLY asked for my name to check on my order. My order wasnât even there. Then she said âyou look upsetâ like??? Of course Iâm upset after waiting an hour for an order that didnât even exist!!! This was frustrating, especially since the mistake was entirely on their end.
We asked for a refund and two of the other staff members were very kind, apologetic, and gave us a free matcha (we had ordered 3 sandwiches and 2 drinks). The matcha was okay.    Read moreWHERE DO I START ????? I came down from Atl to see what the hype was and I can assure you Mood Cafe is WORTH THE HYPE + THE DRIVE !! This coffee shop is everything and a bag of chips ! I couldn't even get in the door before the staff greeted me with a warm welcome . The space and ambiance is soft and calm . When I went to order one of the staff members immediately welcomed me and gave suggestions . I had the strawberry matcha and turkey sausage on a crossiant -it was delicious . My mom had a vanilla latte and chicken salad ona crossiant ! Now my mom is finckey about her chkn salads and she said it was delicious and very fresh ! On my second visit , I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners Letitia and I was FLABBERGASTED to find out they've been in bussiness less than 90 days !!!Like huh ? As someone who was worked in hospilait operations opening a new restaurant /cafe is HARD work ,lots of sleepless nights its very risky when it comes to customers , daily ops etc .
