Sorry Steak-Out but I just had to leave a review because I can't quite shake the disappointment that I experienced with my last order. First, I want to say my first time ordering from here was phenomenal which is why I was so excited to be able to treat myself after being under the weather, I had just got paid and I was home alone. This was just for me. First time, I ordered the steak tips and was left wanting more so this time I said why not let me go for a full ribeye with a baked potato and a cup of cheese even added cheesecake for dessert. Perhaps, I should have been concerned when the delivery driver seem to not having such a good night perhaps it was the rain or he mumbled about going to the wrong house or whatever. All i know he wasn't happy to be delivering my order but I gave him my biggest smile because I was ready to dive in. Now I know most will say you never should order a steak less than medium, however being raised by a family that cooks I know that if you can cook you can cook a perfect tender medium well or well done steak if you care about the food you prepare. Well Steak-Out whoever prepared this steak obviously didn't care because it was beyond well done absolutely no pink in sight and you could even smell that it was basically burnt. It didn't take too long after opening up the aluminum foil and cutting into for it to dry up like it was jerky. There's no way that this should have even been packaged up for delivery. The baked potato was good but the cup of cheese is way over-priced for the quality. I did call to inform the manager of what happen and I was happy to immediately be given options to have it redelivered which I didn't want to deal with an unhappy driver or to have it escalated and a credit applied. I chose the credit of an unknown amount and hopefully when I do try again which I plan on it that there won't be any issues. This time I think that I will go back to the steak tips as that's the only point of reference that I have and order at lunch. Either way good or bad I will review again. Oh and I do have photos because sometimes seeing...
Read moreI have been going to steak out for well over 20 years started our relationship in Maryland heights moved to Illinois three years ago and started going to the Illinois location. And to be perfectly honest in all my years I have NEVER had an issue have always enjoyed my meals have even given recommendations. Well this is my issue I went there on a Tuesday made a purchase took it to work on a Wednesday and my steak was extremely salty called and logged my complaint was told it would be given to the back office and something would be put under my phone number well today I call ready for my credit to be honored and am now being told because I telephoned the next day with my complaint the back office had decided to do nothing. Well I don’t know about anyone else but I feel that’s bs first off if I’ve spends 25 plus on a meal it should be prepared properly and not be told that because I called the next day they are not going to do anything. This is not far and unethical people are trying to support these businesses and this is what they get. I don’t think is correct and as stated I have never previously had an issue. To say the least I’m very disappointed with how they are...
Read moreI have to say that the girl that waited on me was pleasant. I have never been to a steak out ...so I thought I would try it... I thought it was kind of weird that they didn't offer fries to go with their sandwiches but that wasn't the problem, the problem I had was... your order came with a drink and I got a can soda, not a fountain drink but a can soda... I felt like I was getting a boxed lunch. The other problem I had was the sandwich was not edible.... the meat was not chewable and it was very dry. I got the Philly cheesesteak and none of my Peppers or onions were cooked. They were super crunchy. I honestly could never recommend this restaurant to anybody. It probably was just that one sandwich but I ended up getting it... and it was bad. This restaurant is located on the Beltline maybe not all of them are this bad... and I don't think it's the employees fault that they have to serve can soda... obviously they don't own the restaurant. But that's a total thumbs-down ...it should have been a fountain drink and I think the company that runs Steak-Out needs to really think...
