I'll start by saying the food itself was very good for the area we live in. It did come out surprisingly quick for looking a bit short staffed and one young kid do the waiting.
We tried this place for the first time due to the reviews I read. We won't be returning again in the future. The deciding factor of that being the service and the coffee quality. On to the coffee, went it came to the table I thought it was tea or a wrong beverage. It was lighter then the lightest roast I've seen before. So naturally we didn't drink it, we asked the young kid if this was light roast he said I have no idea. I do believe he was honest just a young high school working. I then hear every table that had people at it say something about the coffee. The table that had old men said they thought they were drinking tea, the table next to us had a family of three parents didn't drink theirs either and the kid in his 20's made a joke about how strong it was. My point is it wasn't just us, it was truly terrible. I was able to see when a pot was being made it appeared to be about 3-4 tablespoons going into a full pot which explains what was served. I saw a older woman come out from the kitchen and brewed more I thought yes!! this will be brewed right! Nope same thing it must be the normal. With a tiny bit better service even just asking once how is everything etc would be beneficial to the restaurant and coffee brewed correctly. If you serving food that is truly better tasting then most don't cheap out and cut a cost with the coffee it's important for breakfast food to be paired with...
Read moreToday was my first day trying DeEtte's. It's New Year's Day, not much was open, so it felt like the perfect time to take the plunge.
Here's the thing. This place is small, the parking is not plentiful, service was slow (but new and very kind), and it's pricey. I was actually a little shocked. A side of bacon was over $6. We paid almost $15 for an omelet. $10 for eggs, sausage and hash browns. This is a diner, why would anyone pay that?
Because it was delicious.
The portions were huge and fresh, my plate was the size of two footballs. This is true farm to table level food, y'all. I could write sonnets about my sausage patties, novellas about the perfectly crisp mountain of home fries. I will pay good money for fresh, good food (prepared and served by all women btw) all day.
I left with a box OF BREAKFAST FOOD WHO TAKES HOME BREAKFAST FOOD?
Worth every cent, can't...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Deette's Dream Diner with my husband, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. Despite arriving just half an hour before closing time, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The food at Deette's Dream Diner exceeded our expectations in every way. The portions were generous, and each dish was bursting with flavor. The waitress who served us was not only attentive but also went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional.
