Ko’s Garden — Restaurant in Swanton

Green Pepper steak is good but when you ask for extra, such as extra meat, this also means that other ingredients will be taken away. I was hoping for the vegetables with the extra beef. I bought two containers of Green Pepper Steak and received a total of 5 pepper chunks and maybe 10 onion chunks. Since I was paying extra for meat I just assumed that the the ingreidents were going to be kept the same. I now have to assume that whatever you get needs to fit inside the box but then.....I also got General Taos Chicken, also with extra chicken, and it was horrible. Two pieces of bone were found and this time the "extra" chicken was put into a circular container with the words "extra chicken" on the outside of it and it contaibed roughly 5 pieces. Also, the chicken was extremely dry. Honestly this use to be the best chinese food around but not anymore. I was told by my family to not ever go here again and sadly I will probably comply. Sorry, but my food was terrible. I think they might use the same distributer as the other Chinese takeout in town because their "General Tso" chicken taste like pre mixed barbeque with a couple of chilis thrown in when it was heated. I would be SHOCKED if you told me the "fried rice" didn't come from a bag and was microwaved. The fired dumplings are tiny. where hard and were clearly frozen for a long time before cooking and the dumpling dipping sauce was an after thought. I get if they have to save money and cut corners during these stressful times but this is just a sad meal that cost too much for what they are offering. I don't expect fine dining Chinese but I don't expect warmed up food from a food service...

I placed a takeout order and was told it would take 20 minutes to pick up when I got to the restaurant, there were only three tables that were seated I don't know why it took 20 minutes. I had ordered two eggrolls in my takeout order and did not receive them. I did not know this until I got all the way home 30 minutes later. My order was over $24.00! The crab Rangoon that I ordered just tasted like onion and were very greasy. Main meal I had ordered was orange beef, and it was almost all sauce with hardly any meat or vegetables in it.
