Mexi-Wing IV — Restaurant in Sweetwater

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!Came to this area to visit lost sea. We Stopped at this place for dinner. We ordered our dinner, and started eating our food. There was water dripping for the ceiling. We were having some drinks in this “hole in the wall,” enjoying ourselves on our vacation when we noticed a roach was crawling on my fiancé’s plate. THAT HE JUST ATE OFF OF!! We immediatley went and found the manager and brought him over to our table. He was actually laughing about the whole situation. He had no explanation as to why this roach was on my fiancé’s plate. He kept saying I don’t understand why this would be on your plate when it is warm. Like the plate being warm has anything to do with a roach crawling across the food? Should the plate being warm detour the roaches from crawling on it? He then asked if we wanted him to make more food for us? Umm no!! We told him we were not paying for our food that we were leaving! As we were leaving the manager stopped my fiancé and told him we needed to pay for our drinks and the rest of our food. First of all we barely drank any of the drinks we had, and who wants to continue eating food when there is a roach crawling on it? We told them absolutely not we tipped the waitress and left. I will be calling the health department first thing Monday morning! This is obviously not the first time this...

One of the more memorable restaurant experiences I have ever had, and for all the wrong reasons. First, the establishment was noticably dirty while the dining area was not busy. There's a bar area, so it's not unexpected for there to be music, but being for drunks is no excuse for failing to actual manage a simple EQ. Also, none of the staff were wearing masks. Our server was almost comedically incompetent, to the point where my fiance had to go with him to the drink cooler to point at the drink she wanted. Due to the poor start we figured it'd be best to order simple, so we ordered a plate of five wings and a side of rice. The rice was orange like it should from spice, but yet it was tasteless as well as mushy; like it'd just been reheated. The plate of wings came with a side mange habanero sauce. The sauce itself was passable. The wings however? I don't even know how it's possible to have chicken come out that dry, and more so, somehow even the celery was dry. I'm still trying to comprehend that. And to top the evening off we were rushed out of the door, which is ironic, because we couldn't leave there...

Restaurant is very Inconsistent. Has been good in the past, but also terrible. Unfortunately the gamble isn’t worth it because when it’s bad, it’s really bad. Tonight, we walked into blaring rap and just stood in the “host/hostess” area for at least five mins. Someone finally screamed across the restaurant for us to sit anywhere. No service the entire time with plates stacking up & missing food; maybe one refill. Tried to send something back & server “couldn’t understand us”. The main complaint though; when you have chicken taste like cat food, it’s time to hang it up. I mean this “shredded chicken” tasted and smelled like 💯 fishy cat food to four different people. We Would’ve asked for a refund, but my Spanish wasn’t good enough due to our server not speaking English. Stay away from here….. far, far away. Don’t even look when you pass by and keep your windows rolled up or your man might think you’re unfresh. ...
