United Grocery Outlet — Local services in Sweetwater

We always shop UGO in many different towns. Today I decided to stop in Sweetwater TN. We are having a seafood boil this weekend and I knew we could get good deal, and we did. However, when checking out, my cashier, Ivy, was very rude. I was bagging my own groceries (to help her with her job because I am an older considerate adult.) When she was done she told me the total, I handed her my card. She then impatiently told me "it's waiting for your pin", I stopped bagging while she stood there and entered my pin. She handed me my receipt, put up her closed sign and walked away. I finished bagging my own groceries and loaded them back into the buggy. I didn't realize to get discounted food prices in Sweetwater you have to put up with rude customer service and do their job for them. I will file a formal complaint to UGO Corp in Athens. I know I won't come back...

I've been in this store many times have never had issues. The last 4 or 5 times I've been in I've asked about the egg rolls from the meat dept. I've only ever found them one time in the frozen section. Every time I ask the lady that works in that dept always tells me she hasn't had time to package them up. I even went as far as calling ahead and being told they would be ready for me by end of day. Nope!!! I was hopeful today would be different. Ugo is NOT a place you want to rely on to get all your groceries. However, it is an excellent place to"fill the gaps" in your shopping list. Most times they have a specific item that would cost more at other stores. We always check the meat department and frozen section for entrees, and then finish our shopping elsewhere. That all being said, check the sell by dates carefully, as ugo does not like to throw out food and will simply mark expired food down to an insane price.
