I came with a group of friends, and this was my first time trying Peruvian food! The leche de tigre was so delicious as it was so refreshing and very citrousy! I ordered the Chupe de Camarones, and it was a delicious, creamy, and comforting meal for the cold weather. The portion size was big, and there was so much shrimp inside and corn and veggies and rice! We all ordered different food from the menu, and the portions were big to share for 4. I really loved the Aljaflores as it wasn't too sweet, and it was the perfect texture. I also tried the chicha morada, and it was refreshing, and the spices worked so well in the drink. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is cozy, and the staff are so friendly and patient. The food is made fresh and was out within a couple of minutes, and one can tell they ensure that the food is cooked well and presented perfectly. I definitely want to return to try more items in the future and try more...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were so excited for this new restaurant to open, but we had a pretty dissapointing first experience and probably won't go back. My girlfriend is Peruvian so over the years we have had plenty of authentic Peruvian food from her relatives. For our dishes, I got Lomo Saltado and she got Ceviche. The food didn't taste very authentic, the sauce for the Lomo Saltado didn't taste great as well as the fries were not peruvian style they were just normal american fries. Also, my girlfriend didn't like the corn that with her Ceviche. The portions were fairly small for how expensive the plates were compared to other Peruvian restaurants I've gone to. Lastly, I just asked for water with my meal and they only had bottles which they charged me $2.50 for. I was really hoping for a better experience for the money I spent but unfortunately I don't think I'll...
Read moreThe food was absolutely delicious. I got the Lomo sandwich and my husband had the chicharron sandwich, both were amazing. They gave us some like fried corn and a red chili/green onion dip. Fair warning, the dip is pretty spicy. We got a pork tamal as an appetizer. It was different from a typical mexican one. The pork is on the outside (not in the middle, and has a boiled egg and olive. The lomo sandwich sauce reminds me of almost chinese-esque since its soy sauce based but it was delicious. The inside of the restaurant is fairly small but it's definitely a place to stop by and try. We...
