Shawn's Coffee — Restaurant in Sycamore Township

Is kinda OK? Sort of so so. Atmosphere is nice. Girls who took my order were OK. I ordered the number 1 sandwich on the sandwich menu. Cost about $10.00. And espresso coffee Cost about $5.00 The girls are fine who take your order. However the flavor of the sandwich was at best..OK? As I was finishing up my food the owner came out from the backroom and started talking to the girls who work the front counter. He began using profanity and foul language without any consideration for anyone else in his business. He left the impression on us that carrying himself in a business setting With a professional disposition didn't seem to be much of a priority with him. If you want repeat customers perhaps creating and maintaining a family Atmosphere would help attract more people. The other restaurants and people selling food were really doing great. It just me and a couple of others present at that time. Maybe somewhat of a wakeup call to the owner??? You only get one chance to make a good first impression. Overall. Besides the owner's language and vocabulary I would say it might be OK? The food honestly lacks flavor. Other restaurants and food places close by offer better value for your money. Not really much of a fan of this place but will give it 3 stars because of the girls...

I had an order that wasn't made right and I asked about it. They not only remade my sandwich for me, but the owner brought it to me personally. Very kind and caring way of doing business. I really had my heart set on that sandwich! Silly as it seems. It was my wedding anniversary, and my husband wanted to give me one day of no chores. Instead of disappointment, I was surprised and grateful for the gesture. He did not know that and went above and beyond. I am very thankful.

The first time I went into Shawn's, I had a pretty negative experience. I was helped almost immediately as well as my sister who was with me. Both of our orders were ignored for at least a half hour. The owner did come over and apologized for the service and gave us treats but still forgot my sister's drink... I decided to give the shop a second shot and walked downtown because the drink I had was quite good. I went in at about 1:55 knowing that they closed at 3 which would have been plenty of time to get in and out.
