Huddle House — Restaurant in Sylvania

I should’ve just went to the McDonald’s across the street! Food was undercooked and thrown together! We ordered a loaded omelette and loaded hashbrowns . We also had the steak tips. First if I was by myself, I would have canceled in the middle of the cook making the order! I wasn’t that busy but we still had to wait about 30 mins. There was only one person cooking at the time( young African American female) , and I guess one was on break?( young Caucasian female w shaved head)..because she was sitting in booth for a while before she got up to help. Then there was the manager ( that’s what her badge said)(don’t know how or why) with the red hair. She was taking the orders but started to help for a while , which she should but my problem with that is.. WASH YOUR HANDS!! she had on gloves but she also her her cellphone in her hands! She was helping with food and had her cellphone while cooking. She’s the main reason I would NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. She changed gloves a couple times but never washed her hands. I watched them cook food and they changed gloves but no one washed hands. The young black girl touched her earbuds a lot while cooking which is also a no no. She was trying so I won’t go to hard on her because the whole time I was there she was mainly only person cooking and she was busy but food was undercooked. The omelette was not cooked well or long enough and she was flipping it and broke most of it but didn’t start over, just put remainder in box and kept moving! Person beside me commented and said it wasn’t cooked ( we watched her make it, it wasn’t. The person who ate it ; verified it.. the hasbrowns were not crispy but very soft. I recommend just giving out grits packets! We can make them better ourselves, they were tasteless with nasty butter in a cup! Gross. Steak tips would have been nice with seasoning and cooked have been cooked a little bit longer. The person I was with is the type not to make a fuss and it was late ( we had just got in town to visit relatives and was a three hour drive) and I was only eating the grits and steak tips so i didn’t ask to leave( but i wanted to sooo many times while waiting. This is why I don’t like watching my food getting prepared or like eating out! This is why I pray over my food. People are just so nasty or maybe in this case under trained? Manager definitely should not be managing, because you lead by example . She needs better customer service and should know she shouldn’t be cooking with phone in hand. And should know to wash her hands after taking money and then cooking and preparing food right after. I saw her cut a pepper up and chop bacon in same spot on brown board without wiping it down? Meat and veggies shouldn’t be cut in same spot without cleaning in between.. I’m very observant so I’m going to just stop. Yeah definitely will get food before I come to...

Love this huddle house they have a great team working there. Every time I come in there I’m treated like family. They remember my order and even the order I get Togo. The staff is very attentive and playful. The food is always amazing. The stuffed hash browns was amazing this morning kaci did an outstanding job. The coffee was fresh and good like always kaci stays on point on everything an is very friendly toward everybody I have nothing but nice things to say about my visit every time I come in there I love my experience every time I’m there such friendly souls I will b coming back for sure I have to tell u about my experience at the huddle house yesterday 09/03/2024 my waitress kaci was on point with my food an service she Donald is a fantastic cook an knows how to place food on plate as it’s supposed to kaci is fast at was she does an makes u feel good she is the best waitress I’ve have seen in a while I will be coming back with my family an friends an request her to wait on us there need to b more like her she is the Most amazing person to be around an to the manager jessi for making us feel welcomed I will recommend this huddle house in sylvania ga to anyone an anybody the best so far I would recommend this restaurant to out of town...
