Normally, I really like this place because, although it is a smaller buffet, they have 2 things that New China Super Buffet doesn't have, Sesame Ball and Lemon Chicken. It was therefore disappointing when their buffet was sub-par. Most of the food seemed old and stale. The fried potatoes, normally a favorite at other buffets, were small and dried out. Not the thick moist & tender slices with crisp chopped onion and carrots. There was no Beef and Broccoli, normally a staple at other buffets. And the lemon sauce was bland. It wasn't zesty (a combination of the tart lemon and the sweetness normally found in their lemon sauce). And the Sesame Balls normally filled with a little bit of sweet brown bean curd were completely stuffed with a lot of sweet white bean curd, making the texture different and the sesame shell to bean curd ratio different. I'm not going to say it was bad because it still tasted good, just not what I was expecting. I think I prefer the old recipe better but could get used to the new recipe if there was less bean curd filling. But that is just my opinion for what...
Read moreWhen my mom was still pregnant with me, all she craved was chinese food. Specifically egg drop soup and fried rice. She worked at a place in Pryor where the owners were running it just long enough so their son could become a doctor. When he graduated, they closed their business. It was my moms favorite place. I loved it too. Egg drop soup and fried rice, I could eat it every day. Anyway, I've been on the hunt for food that tasted like DeeDees, and after years of searching, I found it here. This food brings back so many fond memories of my mom and I. The atmosphere is nice. And the people are wonderful too. The only bad thing I have to say about it, is its location. Those trailers behind the restaurant are full of vagrants and who knows what other kind of people. I'm always scared my vehicle will be broken into. Maybe a fence is in order. Or a new location. They would definitely...
Read moreI have ordered from this restaurant for years. I usually get the same to go order and they always get my order right. The food is always good and the owner is really friendly.
I went once right before closing and ordered a bunch of food, the owner went to the back and made the food fresh for me and was happy to do it. She also put some extra egg rolls and stuff in the box for me. Most places don't so things like that anymore.
This is still imo the best service in town for a buffet and the prices are always the same. The prices are also really fair. I can buy an order of sweet and sour chicken with lots of rice and soup for under ten dollars...and they give enough food for me to feed two people from one item and that's always consistent so I know I can order the same thing and get the same thing...not all...
