Barriles Restaurant & Sport Bar — Restaurant in Takoma Park

Had an excellent experience recently at this newly opened salvadoran/mexican inspired restaurant right on the border of takoma park and hyattsville Md. Let me start off with the Carne asada tacos, they were well seasoned, large in size and were served on 2 thin tortillas lightly fried with a little oil (the authentic way) just before having the delicious soft carne asada placed and then topped with finely chopped cilantro and onion,i highly recommend these to all taco fans in the DMV area . Second the pupusas are BIG so if you like to eat pupusas you better come with an appetite 😋 the revueltas are delicious and very cheesy, (and yes they will have that little bit of burnt cheese on the edge that everyone loves to pick at first 😉).

There is a full bar with bottles NOT cans of domestic and imported beer and the drinks are mixed well, there are plenty of big screen tv's and all the big soccer games are regularly shown here so come with your soccer jerseys if you like FC Barcelona or Real Madrid for the clasicos finals !.

The service was great, fast and our server Oneida was constantly checking on us and made sure we had everything we needed , (napkins, sauces, drinks full). The atmosphere was very chill and you feel at home real comfy soft lighting. There is a jukebox where you can choose whichever song you want and the volume is perfect, great sound system!.

in conclusion i had a great time with my mother and sister, we had our choice of music to put on enjoyed delicious food, drinks and a relaxing atmosphere i highly recommend Barriles Restaurant...

Absolutely avoid this place. The waitress fraudulently charged my card $80 instead of the $15 after I left. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I strongly believe this establishment needs to be investigated by law enforcement. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this criminally...

Can't opine on the food, but people should know this place can be dangerous. On December 18, 2022, at approximately 2:47 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland, (Barriles Restaurant & Sports Bar) for shots fired...
