I recently had one of the worst dining experiences at Koma. We went for breakfast but when we tried to order, we were informed that they had "run out" of several key items on the menu. This left us with only a few unappealing options to choose from, but we decided to make the best of it and ordered anyway.
After placing our order, we waited... and waited... and waited. It took them 20-30 minutes to finally come back and tell us that they had run out of everything we ordered. Yes, everything. Why are they even open if they can't serve basic items on their menu?
The staff was not only unprofessional but just overall unhelpful. They didnt really seem to care for the inconvenience, nor did they offer any sort of compensation or alternative solution. Their attitude was basically, "Sorry, but there's nothing we can do about it." This is not how a restaurant should treat its customers.

Read moreCoffee lovers, head to Koma Cafe, the only coffee shop in the area. Driving 30 minutes from SE DC, it was worth the drive. Here's why.
Drinks come in small or large sizes and they have other drinks like a chai latte, hot chocolate, and tea.
Service: It's friendly and efficient. The barista handled the line with ease and my latte was in my hands under five minutes.
Space: It's a very nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee beans, wine bottles, and other goods decorate the walls for sale.
They have strong wifi and outlets throughout.
It's an Italian restaurant as well so they serve breakfast and lunch until 4 p.m. and then change to dinner service.
Note: I emailed the owners privately about our experience but never received a reply. Make of that what you will.
