I had high hopes for my visit to El Comalito (as always), but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.
From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the restaurant was struggling with organization. Despite a line of people waiting to be seated, empty tables were left untouched, and there was no one guiding customers to their seats.
After a 20-minute wait, my party was finally escorted to a table that had been vacant the entire time. However, the ordeal was far from over. Our server took our order, only to prioritize those who arrived AFTER us, leaving us waiting for OVER AN HOUR for our food.
What exacerbated the situation was watching other customers who arrived later receive their orders promptly while we continued to wait. It was not just about the delay but also the feeling of DISRESPECT seeing people who sat after us getting their orders, eating, and leaving before we even received ours.
It was only when I decided to leave that the server rushed to our table, promising that our food was almost ready. Despite the reassurance, when the food did arrive, it was not only late but also INCORRECT.
Fed up with the ordeal and the lack of apology or acknowledgment for the extensive wait, I requested the check and asked for my order to be removed. The entire experience left a SOUR taste in my mouth, and it's safe to say that I won't be returning to El Comalito anytime soon, despite my previous positive experiences.
In conclusion, while I had enjoyed El Comalito in the past, the disorganization, poor service, and lack of accountability during my recent visit have left me deeply...

My boyfriend who likes horchata said it had a uniquely nutty taste, which he enjoyed. The tamarindo was a good mix of sour and sweet. I would recommend this place because the pupusas are inexpensive and my salvadoreño coworker said there...
