Short version: this man has mastered the art of boiled peanuts.
Long version: Make no mistake, a boiled peanut isn’t a boiled peanut. There are boiled peanuts and then there Nortonz Nutz boiled peanuts. Hands down the best boiled peanuts (and carrots and pickles, etc) I’ve ever tasted. My girlfriend and I live in Florida and back in April we took a trip to Suches, GA for a short, mountain vacation getaway. When we were about to go through Atlanta, we decided to reroute and go around it to the west, through Marietta, due to a very bad accident and massive traffic jam delay. That voluntary detour eventually took us through Marble Hill, directly past Nortonz Nutz location on our route towards our destination. We actually ended up turning around in the IGA grocery store parking lot (that is just east of Nortonz Nutz), to go back to his stand. My girlfriend got out of the car and he was closing up for the day and we got the last of what you he to offer for the day, which included some complimentary carrots and pickles. So we caught him just in time, and as it was a detour, it was by pure chance! People, let me tell y’all…It was so good, amazing flavor. Well, we are about to be on our way back to Suches today, this time with the whole family. We really want to stop and Indulge in more of his stuff! So much so, that we are willing to literally go out of our way for it, lol. Taking this detour completely on purpose this time. We are leaving too late into the day, and definitely will not make it to him by any decent hour and he will surely be gone for the day… as it will be after 9 PM by the time we would be in the vicinity. So I sent him a message on here and asked what days he’s set up for business? And what general hours typically open and closed? He got right back to me. And we will definitely be driving the hour down from Suches while he’s open tomorrow(Saturday) just to get these awesome NUTZ!
This is a long-winded way of saying that Nortonz Nutz stuff is awesome, and after just one visit there, it is definitely becoming a part of our tradition of traveling to North Georgia’s mountains. So, long live NORTONZ NUTZ business endeavors and I hope they are doing well and...
Read moreJust visited Nortonz Nutz on 9/1. Saw it on social media last night and had to come and get some!
Overall the Nutz are amazing, we got the Dill and the Cajun which I would say is the go to if you come here and don’t know what to get, go with the Cajun. It’s a good level of spice and flavor and you can still taste the peanut flavor!
The service and atmosphere was great too, Norton is a hoot and they give you the Nutz within seconds of ordering even if they are slammed!!
Not only that but I said I saw them on Tiktok and they gave me and my girlfriend free stickers!!
Overall please go here and support this local business if you pass by this guy is awesome!
I’d say this is even worth a drive all the way from Atlanta if you are visiting and want to experience some culture and a...
Read moreI have been a repeat customer since I moved to MH 5 years ago. I followed the business page on Facebook for years. The peanuts are good. I always thought this stand was different because the confederate flag isn’t flown as it unfortunately is at many other roadside stands in my area. Today, I figured out that was just a business ploy. The owner showed his true colors when called out on a tasteless meme shared on his business FB account, he tried to insult me by asking where I worked before blocking me and deleting my comments and his replies. I did catch a couple screenshots before I was blocked though. Sad really. Guess I don’t need roadside...
