On July 1, 2022, I brought my two daughters and niece to have a celebratory 16th birthday dinner. When we were done eating, I gave my credit card for the $99.98 bill (excluding tip) only for the waiter to return about three minutes later stating the machine shutdown while running my card before it printed a receipt and they were unsure if the charge was successful. I immediately checked my bank account and showed them the pending charge and was told it would have to be ran again and a duplicate transaction cannot happen back to back--well this was a lie. After waiting 20 minutes and watching other guests pay and leave with no problems, the waiter returned with another charge and a receipt for this transaction to sign. I again looked at my online account and saw two transactions for the same amount. Manager Amy and Larry ensured me it would "fall off" during the closing that night and to return in a few days if it hadn't. Next day, three charges on card the two I confirmed and the one for the receipt I signed adding a tip. I returned after a few days because it had not "falling off" and in speaking with Larry, he was very dismissive and told me there were no corporate offices or owners when I asked for their information. After I stated filing a complaint to assist me that's when he said "the owners are out of town", I told him I wanted the contact information and didn't inquire about them being in town or not. I explained that I traveled from the other side of town to visit this restaurant for my daughter to be treated as if I was trying to get over on a bill that I proved was successful but was charged to me three times! Larry provided one refund and stated the other would "fall off" and to-date it still has not. This discriminatory act has caused my account to incur overdraft fees due to the $315 hold that was recklessly applied by this restaurant. I would like to receive a full refund for my horrible experience and for the second charge...
Read moreI’ll start with the good part about this place – the food is amazing. I ordered the Thai coconut curry and the veggie roll. Both were very good.
Where this place falls short is it’s Customer Service. Everything started off fine. I was greeted by my waitress and was given some recommendations. I asked if I could get a minute just to make a decision and that minute turned into almost 20 minutes. I had to flag the host down to see if she could get my server so I could actually put in my order. By this time multiple people have walked in and already ordered and so I ended up waiting for my food longer than I should’ve.
One of my biggest pet peeves is a restaurant that tries to nickel and dime you. When I ordered my Thai coconut curry, I specifically asked the server if the rice was included, she responded that it was and then asked me if I wanted white or brown rice. I responded that I want brown rice – of course to my surprise I get the bill and there’s a two dollar up charge for the brown rice. To be fair, it does state there is a two dollar up charge for brown rice on the menu however, at the point that I ordered, I was not paying attention to the menu. I simply asked the server if rice was included, which means there’s no extra charge. In my opinion, the curry is already overpriced ($20) so the fact that there is an additional charge for rice I think is just unacceptable.
Overall, the food was fantastic. If I ever do come back, it’ll simply just be a to go order and will make it far enough in advance where when I come to pick it up, it...
Read moreA nice, classy, Asian restaurant in the Tallahassee area. I’m always looking for new asian food in Tallahassee and this was a nice find! I came here as I go to “Little Masa” often and had heard these two were connected. But don’t be fooled, they are nothing alike. They just both happen to serve Asian food, and they’re both decent, but I actually prefer the cheaper, more casual, Little Masa.
I enjoyed my time here but this is not an exceptional restaurant. The food is decent, but could use more seasoning, especially as an Asian restaurant. The sushi is very good but also pretty pricey. If you like seafood I recommend trying some here because that’s probably worth more of your money! I enjoyed the stir-fry noodle dish but I also think I could have made as dish as good at home. What is GOOD is their portions! They had very large portions which made the food more worth your money! Overall it’s a decent place and I’m glad to try it, but I feel that I can find better. Try it yourself!
Food: The food itself is decent, I give 4 stars for their large portions. Try their seafood (pictured is their crab stir fried rice I believe!) or their sushi (if you’re willing to spend some more money!). Service: The service was, once again, decent. We had a nice waitress that checked on us every once in a while and was polite. Nothing crazy. Atmosphere: This is probably the best reason to come here, as they do have a nice atmosphere. This restaurant is “nicer”, but may also seem a bit dry and dark, like it’s missing something. As a college student, it...
