Horrible customer service food was made wrong and Debbie the manager was really rude. I ordered the chicken tetrazzini salad with no cashews and Bell peppers the cashier took the bell peppers off in front of me instead of sending it back and while I was eating I notice some cashews in it look like someone noticed no cashews on the slip and tried to pick them out but left a few By mistake I also ordered a slice of cake paid for it and left without getting it.called back and Spoke to randy I let him know it was wrong and I left the Slice of cake randy said he will leave the slice of cake in the fridge with my name on it and they will get me taken care of. when I went in the next day I was talked to very rudely by Mrs.Debbie I was told she was not replacing it because the cashews come mixed In it already and she said I told You that when you ordered that’s not correct.she kept demanding she did when that wasn’t true when I ordered she told me she was not at the register to give me the price but she will make sure it was correct and it was around 10 something In change I told her over the phone And the cashier When I got there that I was getting it for my boyfriend for the first time and he dont eat bell peppers and cashews so I Wanted it how it comes without the bell peppers and cashew. Mrs Debbie said she will make sure it’s correct and the cashier said it was correct after she picked the bell peppers off in front of me with out gloves on and after handling my money Mrs Debbie told me she had my order Correct and she explained to me over the phone that cashews come mixed in it already and she won’t be replacing it I asked for a refund for the slice of cake and let Mrs Debbie know I will never visit or recommend this Hopkins to anyone she is very rude. While I was their I noticed My cashier was not wearing a mask and also two other workers were mask less. From reading the reviews this is a pattern with this Hopkins on north Monroe across from lake Ella. Hopkins on Capital circle is so much better. This is my third time visiting this location and my second bad experience, when most people have a bad experience at a restaurant you don’t sweat it cause Everybody make mistakes but if you visit a store and this is only your third time and you had another bad experience than there is a problem this is a continuously problem and maybe the staff need to be...
Read moreI will never eat at Hopkins again because of the poor service. Others were also frustrated with the same poor service. When we placed our order and went to the self serve area to get our drinks there was no ice in the machine. I returned to the counter waited on the hostess to finish a telephone order before explaining there was no ice. Before I could say more she yelled at me she had to wait on the people who had just walked in and she would get ice when she had time. No offer to fill our cups in the back or to let the women waning in the kitchen for assistance. I sat back down to wait. Our food order was called and still no ice. When I went to get our order I asked for a refund on the drinks since there was no ice. The hostess told me she would get a manager. She continued to wait on customers as they came in the door with still no effort to get ice for us. After we had finished our sandwiches she came out set up a ladder at the drink machine and then went to wait on more customers. Still no offer to get two cups of ice from the back even though she had now made several trips to the kitchen. She then came out and told me that the manager said there were no refunds for lack of ice. I asked to speak to the manager who came out as the hostess poured ice in the machine and stated there was now ice so no refund. While all this was going on I watched a woman give up trying to get hot water out of the coffee machine for hot tea because it was only dripping. Finally, while the manager was speaking to me the hostess stood there smirking about denying us ice...
Read moreI live about four blocks from this deli, and have frequented it for a year or two. My girlfriend has a few food allergies, so we end up eating here often, as they have gluten-free options and a fairly healthy menu.
However, the sandwiches are almost invariably sloppy, and the manager(white kid, dark hair, no glasses, compass tattoo on left arm) is always smarmy. I'll call in an order to pick up and politely emphasize no dairy, gluten free bread, and be met with quips like "Yeah, I heard you". I wouldn't repeat it if they could consistently get it right; three times I've checked her sandwich before leaving and it's on plain white bread with dairy, so I have to be That Guy and have them re-make it, wasting food and time for everybody.
Seems to be a lot of staff turn-over here as well. I think we'll be driving a bit further to either of the other locations.
If you want service with a sneer and don't mind sloppy...
