Five adults and one toddler on a Sunday evening. We ordered two calamari appetizers, a child's shrimp Tempura, Two pad thai mild, one spicy chicken, one asparagus and mushroom and a sweet and sour chicken were the adult entrees. Both pad thai were ordered mild. When the pad thai arrived our waitress took one back after announcing it was medium, she wrongly stated the other was mild. The sweet and sour chicken arrived with NO chicken! My wife could not eat her pad thai because it was decidedly not mild either. Sending these back and waiting, of course threw the timing of eating off so that some of us were through before some of the replacements arrived. !The first pad thai was replaced eventually and my wife declined to send hers back and wait some more. Meanwhile the asparagus dish was discovered to have a long black hair in it (after part of it was eaten). The replacement for the sweet and sour chicken that had no chicken did not arrive until we were headed to the door! Our waitress Jennifer was very nice although she was hard to find when we needed her. Each time we needed her she was at the bar serving drinks. We spoke to a young lady who professed to be the manager. She was very apologetic and comped three of the entrees. She also gave us a coupon for 10% off a future visit that will probably never be used! So out of six meals four of them were wrong! One of did not get a meal at all until we were leaving ( he took it with him I do not know if he ate it) two of the meals were inedible due to excess spice in one and the hair in the other. The calamari were fine, the child's meal was good. My spicy chicken dish was actually excellent and very spicy as ordered! The meal was a total disaster! I had trouble believing that this was a professional kitchen!!! Definitely ruined our...

Read moreSiam Sushi has been on my list since I've moved to Tallahassee, and I finally got the chance to go. I have to say, I wasn't disappointed.
Siam Sushi is located in the Lake Ella Publix plaza, giving it a good location for going on a walk afterwards or doing a little shopping. The decor of the place is actually pretty nice, dark wood tones and dim light fixtures give it a nice feel. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice because the place isn't terribly too big.
The staff was good. Our waiter was nice, and he gave us plenty of time to look at the large menu. I heard him give plenty of recommendations to other people as well.
The food was really tasty. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Siam Style meal, which came in a hefty portion of mixed vegetables soaking in a small pool of teriyaki sauce with steamed rice on the side. Waiting to finish the meal then dumping the rice into the sauce was totally worth it. Totally. I also ordered the Siam Mini sushi roll. Despite its name, it's really not mini. The pieces are large, and you get a decent amount of slices. It was also a very delicious lightly fried and breaded roll. The sauce on it had a little kick, but it was flavorful and good.
Price wise, it was a tad on the more expensive side, even at lunch. $13 for the teriyaki chicken and $7 for the sushi roll, which was considered a basic roll. Those were some of the less expensive items on the menu.
I would definitely go back though, I enjoyed the food and...
