This Whataburger is hit or miss. Used to be that the order was never right, the fries were cold. Then they got a lot better for a while. Today’s experience was not great. I had a giftcard I used at this location about a week ago and still had a $28 balance. Tried to use this card today, and it wouldn’t work. I was expected to pay with my credit card, even though I had a receipt with the available balance still on the card. I told the cashier I would be paying for the order with my gift card, or I would not be taking the food at all. Cashier went back and forth with the manager, cashier came back and told me it wasn’t working and I had to pay with a different card. I told them respectfully, it’s not my fault that the gift card I just used a week ago at the same exact location suddenly wasn’t working. Nobody could tell me why, nobody could give me a solution as to how to get my card to work. Eventually the manager came back over into the window and told me “she understands there’s money on the card, but it’s not working, and [I’m] being difficult.”
I told the manager that wasn’t my intention, that I just wanted to use the available gift card money that I had.
Finally, the manager tried the card on a different register. The cashier came back to the window and gave me my card back. I said did it work? She said no and handed me my food. She said I should go to another Whataburger to see if the gift card works somewhere else.
Overall I sat in the drive thru for about 30 min, holding up a long line of cars behind me.
I wish this Whataburger could just get it together. One of my favorite places to grab a quick bite but starting to not be...
Read moreCustomer service has become the dinosaur of 2020. I had to return an order because the manager got it wrong – not me. I drove back to the store to return the item because I ordered a “no meat” burger. I have patronized the store often for the same order. Tonight, because the order was wrong and I had to drive back to the store, I requested my money back and a reorder. The cook hollered if he wants his money back I don’t have to make the order. If a customer has to drive back to your store because you served the wrong order, it would be a courtesy to the customer to make the order free of charge – with a refund. The greatest advertisement is customers. The manager didn’t give me the correct change back. Although, I paid with my credit card he gave me cash in return. The value of principles, customer service, critical thinking and problem solving in this situation do not exist. The manager got the order wrong and he is above making it right for the customer? My order cost $4.38 and that cost has more value than my future spending. The store will more than likely always make money. I not patronizing the store will not cause it to go broke. Yet, the small mindedness of its employees makes me realize how valuable being able to “critically think” and “problem solve” really matters. I hope someone invest in “management training” for the staff and inform them how to value customers. Most successful companies do not have individuals of this mindset operating their businesses. But, I guess that is why they are working at...
Read moreOh this place was pretty amazing this day because I spoke to two of the employees that were very very cool to me. They were discussing apps like cash app and venmo. I told him I knew a lot about venmo and that it was a great app to use. But what happened from that was that we were so entwined with our conversation that other customers got involved and it was almost like a big dinner party. This Whataburger is quite small so it's kind of intimate.. it almost seems like a old hamburger shop from the 1950s. It's one of those ones that just makes you feel at home. Like it give it mostly five stars. Of course the food is great I can't say nothing about fast food hamburgers if I don't talk about Whataburger or In-N-Out Burger. But In-N-Out burgers on the west coast so Whataburger doesn't have to worry about them at all they've got it wrapped up around here. If you're going to a place to chill out and want to sit outside there's a couple places outside to get sit underneath it can rain out and it doesn't matter. You drive right up. Got a hamburger inside and sit down outside. It's in midtown in Tallahassee and it's a pretty nice little place to be. Kind of in between the Upper class Kilearn and other parts of town. LOL. It is between many really nice restaurants and coffee shops. I recommend this to anyone. When you're done with your hamburger go across the street and get a nice...
