22nd Street Coffee in Tampa is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a true gem in the community, where warmth and exceptional service meet the perfect cup of coffee. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. A special thank you goes to Liliana and Sarah, who make this place extraordinary. Liliana’s passion for coffee shines through every recommendation she gives, ensuring you find the perfect brew to match your taste. Her warm demeanor makes every visit feel personal and unforgettable. Sarah, with her bright smile and impeccable attention to detail, creates a welcoming vibe that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you're savoring a smooth espresso or indulging in one of their signature creations, every sip is crafted with love and expertise. Thank you, Liliana and Sarah, for making 22nd Street Coffee, not just a coffee shop, but a place where everyone feels like family. Your dedication and kindness truly set this place apart.

WHERE TO PARK: 22nd Street has a dedicated parking lot. There’s also neighborhood parking adjacent to the shop. THE STORY: This family owned coffee shop is an offshoot of Brisk Coffee Roaster, which originated on the corner of 8th and 15th in Ybor City, in 1968 with a 100-pound batch roaster, aĀ small warehouse, one delivery truck and a passion for fine coffees. Today, BRISK is one of the largest independentĀ roasters in the Southeastern United States, with offices in Tampa,Ā Ft.Ā Lauderdale, Miami and Atlanta.Ā Denise Reddick is President and CEO. TheĀ coffee shop, which opened about two years ago, is the only one in the Palmetto Beach neighborhood of Tampa, an area filled with deep ties to Cuba and the cigar rollers that called it home for so long. Reddick's family came over from Cuba in the early 1900s. Tampa is home, but she never forgets her roots; coffee is the window to the past. SUGGESTED ORDER: Cafe Con Leche or ā€œCoffee with milk.ā€ The beverage is common throughout Spain and Latin America, consisting of strong coffee (usually espresso), mixed with scalded milk in equal amounts. PRO TIP: Get some Cuban toast and dip it in the Cafe Con Leche

A friendly neighborhood coffee shop with very friendly staff and tons of seatings. I got a 16oz latte with oat milk. The latte had good espresso to milk ratio, however the espresso did not taste like it was freshly ground. They serve breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I got a breakfast sandwich with turkey which was good. The taste of the espresso wouldve had me give it a lower score, however I’m giving this place a 5 star because of the incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to extend good service. Of note, you can enter the parking lot ONLY through N 22nd st. We took Marconi St to get to this place, however, there is no car entrance to the coffeeshop from that street as it was fenced off and so we had to drive a few blocks further to come around to enter the lot. A good improvement to increase access would to open up an entry way to the parking lot on Marconi St to avoid having to drive around the neighborhood.

I have lived in this community for about five years, and when I met my husband I learned that he had been living in this community for over 20 years. My husband it's not a coffee drinker but I am and the only reason why I had never visited this establishment before is because of my work schedule it wasn't until as of recent that I have the time to now look around my community and discover the many things that it has to offer. Today I asked this coffee shop if I could collect their used coffee grounds because I am starting a garden and I like to do things naturally to be able to receive the best nutrients for my plants and my health. The representative said it would be okay for me to take the used coffee grounds off of their hands because they would otherwise be trashed. I then asked her if I could leave a small bin for them to dump the used coffee grinds into throughout the day and that I would come to collect them daily or every other day. She also agreed to this as well. I came back before the close of business, because she said that they would have some more coffee grounds and to my surprise she informed me that they are not able to allow me to collect the coffee grounds as previously discussed before because, her boss does not want to do that. We only be able to collect grounds if we come into the store at time the grounds are being produced. This would pose a highly inconvenient situation because I cannot sit around a coffee shop all day or guess when they will have coffee grounds available. My husband was willing to do lots of business with his company was I along with promoting this business on our social medias we have a lot of family that live in this neighborhood and would have brought an influx of customers to this establishment but since they rather serve the trash can rather than their community potential customers, we will go elsewhere to collect coffee grounds like Starbucks who gives it away for free with no questions asked and doesn't mind putting it into cute little packages that are set outside ready to go to be picked up by anyone who wishes to collect them. By the way I would like to add that my husband and I walked back and forth four trips total to this establishment only to be disappointed because we lost our vehicles during the hurricane I thought it was a common practice to have a business accrue assets rather than deficits I guess I was wrong. I will never do business with this company and I will tell all of my friends and family to do the same. I wonder if it was because of my skin...

The Coffee is Divine!

Now that we got the main buisness taken care of, let's talk about "the experience". 22nd street pulls its flavor from the local community. The drinks, the food, it all flows from the surrounding neighborhood and style, blended smoothly into the coffee carefully selected from around the world.

Denise (the owner), she knows her stuff and loves her brew. I tried to pay for an officers coffee behind me (no gloat, but we gotta take care of our law enforcement) and I was denied, Denise said, "NO NEED", she had it covered. She is good people and this coffee shop is the tops.

My wife and sister, my little dog too, enjoyed our coffee on the patio. They supplied the option of a raw egg or cheese for my pup. The whip creme is caffinated so good snacks were had by all. We loved the food too! You have to go there yourself, quiche is great, and the sweet snacks were 10/10 yum!

Easy to access from the highway or neighborhood. The interior and design are to be obsessed over. Do not judge at first glance, this place is clean, friendly, lovely and refreshing.

Will be back if I ever break down in Florida again or if I am happen to be close by I will make the stop. As an out of towner, this shop captured me as a...

It really really sucks that I’m doing this because I wanna love this coffee shop. I’ve been coming for years as it’s walking distance from my house. First, I wanna say the food is delicious, but the coffee really depends on who makes it. There’s a young Spanish lady that is super sweet, great customer service, and always asks how you want your coffee: iced or hot, sweet, not sweet… all while smiling. GREAT. Now there’s other ones who don’t ask a single question and automatically will make your coffee iced, no sweetener no nothing while they look like they’re having the worst time of their lives. TERRIBLE. What’s even more annoying is that some employees tell me that dogs are allowed to come in (ordering take out not staying) and some others say otherwise. I’ve been in the store while the owner is there. We’ve talked to the owner INSIDE THE STORE with my dog and she said they are dog friendly. I understand some people simply don’t like dogs. That’s okay. But please can’t we just not be rude????

If the owner reads this I just wanna let you know that you have a super cute store and a great product , but your employees’ customer service is horrible… they look miserable. Except the Spanish lady, she’s...
