I've been coming here for almost three years and I can't believe I'm just getting the opportunity to write a review. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Tampa! Every time I come I get two doubles (yes it's necessary). I love their sorrel drink. It's very balanced and not overpowering with ginger. I've also had their soursop drink and peanut punch which were nothing short of amazing. Most of the times I come I order a soup which is always yummy. If you don't like your dumplings on the soft side request that in advance. I've had both the chicken and fish soup but I like the fish more. The pholourie and guava cake are a must. They fry their sweet plantains really nice (not too much oil which I love). Some of my favorite entrees are: curry goat, stew chicken (probably my favorite they season it soooo well), and curry shrimp. I respect their endless options of vegan and vegetarian food as well. The potato and channa curry has the right amount of spice and the aloo pie is very well prepared. I never feel heavy after eating their food and it's always an overall great experience. I believe it is family owned and the owner is the sweetest person on earth. You'll...

The roti is trash….I opened the box the roti came in and curry spilled out of the container. I ordered Dahl P. curry chicken roti…in my many years of eating roti never have I had my roti sitting in a pool of curry.

I went back in and mentioned the roti was soaking in the curry…their response was ppl sometimes want more curry. I mention I don’t like the skin soggy and her response was ā€œwhen you eat it it’s all going to the same placeā€ā€¦I mentioned to her if I wanted curry like this I would have ordered Parahta.

I couldn’t even pick up the blasted roti…who eats wet roti skin? Yes I could have ordered the curry on the side but I didn’t realize I was getting a wrapped roti sitting in a pool of curry…

The skin had no peas to even try to hold the thing together….straight curry and potatoes and chicken….like I was eating it with rice.

They offered me new one, but the spite of some ppl is paralyzing so I walked out and left a review for other patrons who don’t like soggy food. Signed...

I had Daalpuri Roti with Curry Goat for dine in and Curry Shrimp for To Go. After coming from India, this is for the first time in a long time I had some great food. Felt the aroma and taste more authentic and home cooked style. Loved every single bite. This is a must visit if you want to taste some amazing and spicy delicacies. This restaurant is a shining star. Will definitely be my weekend lunch place for sure. Thanks. Caribbean Crown - You guys Rock!!
