Fresh Market Diner — Restaurant in Tampa

I work at the market selling produce, and I eat in the diner almost every day. They run a special every day that is always amazing, but if it's not for you fear not, they have everything a self respecting diner in America would have to offer. They make an unparalleled cuban sandwich Tampa style. Cuban toast. Egg plates. Empanadas, croquettes, croissants, English muffin sandwiches. I reccomend the philly cheese steak omelet. The sandwich is amazing, but the lady there told me to try it out in an omelet. Completely wonderful and delicious!!!

This place is worth the effort to find....you actually have to enter the Tampa Wholesale Produce Market...go thru the guard shack....and angle left and look for the diner. It's a late night or early morning treat, according to your perspective. By 10 or 11 am they're shutting down. But 2 to 7 am they're rocking. Side note: best devil crab in Tampa. Ask anyone. Go...

If you find yourself in East Tampa in the wee hours and you want to hit a greasy spoon, this is the place. There are the usual diner standbys like burgers, Tampa standbys like Cubans and devil crabs, and breakfast standards. The food is really good and the prices are good too.

It's a little hard to find, even if you see the sign on the street. It's in the main Produce Market building. You have to go through the gate and then go left. There will be a lot of trucks parked and moving around blocking your view. Look for a conspicuous gap in the line of backed-in trucks towards the east side of the building. There is a trailer with a sign on it pointing toward the door. You will have to climb...

After reading all the good reviews I wanted to really like this place, but unfortunately we didnt. The husband and I order about 3:30 this morning through door dash. A pressed cuban for his lunch today at work and 2 breakfast sandwiches for him and I. The lettuce and tomatoes on the cuban was old and soggy... So it made the bread soggy also. There was barely any meat on it. I don't mind paying the price, I just want quality. The eggs in the breakfast sandwiches was way over cooked and the bacon had a burnt taste. I really don't care to leave negative reviews...but I had to be honest. But I will give them another try. And Lisa G...
