Grill & Provisions — Restaurant in Tampa

This is going to be one of the reviews I prefer not to do. It’s rare that you find a place deserving of 5 stars but you walk in on a Saturday and the place is empty. But then I go open my big mouth and the place gets lots and lots of visits. Well what the heck, this place deserves to be known.

I came in with low expectations, I just came from Houston and having some great brisket thought there’s no way the brisket here is going to match, and oh my was I wrong.

This is hands down the best brisket in Florida. Moist, with just enough smoke, well seasoned. Truly perfection. Then I went ahead and ordered me a rib sandwich and some pork Spanish style. I said, no way this is legit.

I was wrong again the Spanish pork was so so good. Best I’ve had in Florida. The ribs were massive but tender and the seasoning was also incredible. Every single thing I ordered was so good I ordered the same things to go. No leftovers. Even the pork cracklings that they gave my son, were great.

Dude I can’t say this more clearly if you want the best BBQ in Florida this is the place you need to come to. Even if it means I will have to make a line...

WOW!!!!!! A friend advised me......for your first brisket, you have got to go to Grill & Provisions. So I did. I purchased a raw Waygu Brisket......they are expensive but soooooo worth it! Then the owner, Danny Hernandez, found out that this was my first time smoking a brisket. He proceeded to give me a crash course on the process. He trimmed my brisket, teaching me how to do it. He walked me thru the smoking process and then he walked me thru the proper carving process on a finished brisket they were preparing in the store. All the while, providing a sample! Man was it good. Anyway, I followed Dannys instructions to the tee and wow, it came out perfectly! It was easily way above my pay grade and ability! Danny made our 4th of July dinner a complete success! I emailed Tim for an exchange on a gifted item to upgrade to another more expensive item. He quoted me $400 by email. When I arrived at the store and checked out that number became $567. I was told the promotional price running on that specific grill was disallowed because I could not “double discount.” Once I got the receipt, I asked Tim about the double discount. He said that the promo price was disallowed instead because “We are accommodating an exchange..." I just called to try and square this away before writing a bad review and he told me "It is what it is." Skip this place...
