Its one of those night when you know everything is going to be a clutter of problems. We were a party of 9, and everyone started ordering, telling the waiter we were in couples or singles, as they place their orders. Then when I order a diet coke I was given a regular coke at $3 in a bottle open and it was pored in a glass with ice. Usually they bring you the glass with ice and the unopened bottle. Wasn’t sure if this was previously used or not. Then everyone starting ordering their dinner, first with appetizers and then the main courses orders. The plates did not come out at the same time and 4 of the nine that ordered were given the wrong order, and the waiter insisted that they order that dish, which they did not, so they had to wait for their order to be cooked which made everyone else wait and food became cold, for their reordered plate arrived. At the end of the meal, another waiter I assume it was, brought the one bill for everyone, so that person had to get everyone order again to split the bill into couples. Of course my bill was last and it was about $50+, when they process my credit card the $50+ suddenly was almost $90. When we told the person this was wrong, they could not undo it charge and process it correctly so they just gave me the difference in cash. Everything seemed unorganized and waiters and management did not...
Read moreThe food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I'd call it just above average. I had chicken picatta and there was barely any lemon or garlic flavor. The butter overpowered the other flavors. Also, the chicken was a bit dry and chewy, but only in a couple places around the outer edge, which with my home cooking experience, when my chicken is mostly tender and juicy except for the outer edges, it's because of freezer burn which is not a good sign for a restaurant. The person I was with had the cannelloni and they rate it average also. The interior had a dated and very sparse look. The servers however, did an excellent job. They were very kind and attentive. We were the only table there at the time. One thing that confused me is that my chicken came with steamed vegetables and roasted potatoes, but you can substitute pasta for $2 more. I find that odd because I'm sure some potatoes and vegetables cost more than about 3/4 cup of pasta that I had to pay $2 extra for. Overall, I would only recommend this restaurant if you're driving through the area, are hungry, and feel like average Italian food. This is definitely not a place worth driving any kind of...
Read moreI could not believe how good the food was because the ambience was a bit dated or sterile. I had my reservations only because the server was new and didn't know much. Nice guy just lacked experience, still I tipped 25 percent. I drank water only since I wanted a clean palate, hold the fruit. The first entre was the soup, a pasta fagioli which came out so hot that Lucifer would have been impressed. The heat stayed so long I burnt my tongue. Each spoonful was worth the pain since the flavor was spot on. The next plate was a special grouper piccatta served with potatoes broccoli and string beans. The dish was also served at our Suns temperature. One bite of the buttery grouper with the capers and lightly buttered boom I was shot to piccatta heaven. The potatoes, broccoli and string beans all seasoned to perfection. Even the cannoli was delicious. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the food because of the location and ambiance. I'm on vacation and will return soon to try more delicious food. A rating 10 stars and loved it 110...
