So this is the fifth time coming to Guac and Cheese. First three times, decent and good experiences. Even coming on Cinco De Mayo last year. Tried to simply order take-out so me and my partner wouldn't have to be in the mist of people. However, we've been waiting for an hour, for an order that should have been done an hour and a half ago. I've watched people walk in and out who got here when we did. This is absolutely ridiculous. At first I chopped it up to it being a night where everyone is going to be out celebrating. However, this wait and the other details to go along with it is ridiculous. My partner did not want to eat here again because last time they forgot half of our order and wanted us to come back and pick it up or we would be out of money. Definitely won't be coming back again. I wish my partner would just get a refund and we can go eat somewhere else. Absolutely ridiculous.
Order was suppose to be ready at 7:30. Arrived at 7:50. It is now 8:40. Will continue to update.
More people arriving. And my partner still hasn't walked out with our food.
So after waiting for an hour and the waitress has asked my partner multiple of times what their name was. the waitess proceeds to tell them that they can not find our order. But, never mentioned this before. Or said anything regarding our order. Over $100 order at that! Will not be returning.
So an hour and a half later. No refund. Gave us some food and said, "here are some extra chips for the hour and a half wait!"...
Read moreAfter reading the great reviews we decided to give this place a try for our taco Tuesday. The website said there was taco deals, but understandably they did not because of the pandemic. No big deal. I ordered a margarita and a guac and cheese salad bowl . They brought me nachos by mistake, there it took them a while to seat us so at this point it was about 20 minutes until 8:00 and they closed at 8:00, so they looked decent so I just decided to keep them mistakes happen no big deal. however they dumped a bunch of cheese on them and it made them a little soggy and they were very salty. the margarita was wine based. The margarita was okay tasting but I got horrible heartburn because it must have been made with cheap wine I got my bill and the margarita was $20 which was ridiculous for a wine-based margarita that left me with horrible heartburn. Their salsa was good. My friend ordered empanadas which looked to me like undercooked, and a cheese quesadilla which did not look that great everyone else's food looked decent. . This review is just based on what I had, if I had a suggestion I would say they need more staff it look like there was one or two people working there. I would try it again once they've been open for a while, and don't charge an arm and a leg for their drinks...
Read moreWas hoping this would finally be a decent Mexican restaurant however after there opening and living within walking distance I came in this week. Ordered 2 appetizers. One was mediocre, the "stuffed" jalapeño poppers (I was thinking for $8 homemade) however they are the same package you can purchase at Sam's Club or Walmart very sad. Still optimistic I ordered a meal. The Mexican rice was stuck together with no flavor. Clearly no stired and made more stored and served. Chicken portion was larger then expected but no seasoning just a sauce and cheese over it. Positives- there salsa (free chips and salsa) had some flavor and was great. There beer prices are fairly decent also. However the food is still less then average. Basically it's Chihuahua's food with a 6 out of 10 renovation to the restaurant. Tables are over crowded. The bar top is 14-15 inches wide and can barely fit a plate. The only thing that will save this restaurant is if they start thinking outside the box and get some flavors rather then relying on there location to bring them money. Come on Guac, the anticipation after getting a stop work order for no permits---- was hoping someone would bring there A game. I would give it a...
