Normally, I've had nothing but good experiences with this place. I want to make that very clear. I also want to make clear that my complaint has nothing to do with the quality of the food. Rather, my complaint is due to the HORRIBLE AND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE that I had to endure from the manager of the restaurant.
Long story short: I placed my order at approximately 10:50 PM (the restaurant closes at midnight). At 11:30 PM, I received a call from an employee asking if I wanted to add a tip to my purchase because they would be cashing out. I gladly told them to add $3.00. The employee them told me that the pizza would be arriving in "just a few more minutes." Another half hour goes by. I called the restaurant at approximately 12:05 AM, asking if the pizza was on it's way. The manager, Alex, informed me that it was and that they had only one driver and that the night was very busy. He then told me that the pizza would arrive in only a few more minutes. I thanked him and hung up. At 12:20 AM, I called back and asked him to please cancel the order as it was getting very late and I had to go to bed. Instead of complying with my request, Alex simply stated that the pizza was already on it's way. I repeated my request, to which his only response was "call the driver" and then he hung up. I tried to call back several times with no response.
When the driver did arrive shortly after, I apologized to him and stated that I would not be accepting the pizza nor would I sign for it. I also told him that I wanted to speak to Alex. The driver got his phone and called the restaurant before handing it to me. I then informed Alex that I would not be accepting the pizza and that I would be contacting corporate regarding his extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. I also advised Alex to reverse the charge to my credit card, and that I would be informing my bank not to accept it. I again apologized to the driver and assured him that I was not angry with him. The driver told me to call the restaurant the following night and ask for "Timmy" (another manager) in order to reverse the charge.
Again, I understand that somethings things can go awry. Nobody is perfect, and I am no exception to that. But to have been treated like that, especially as a (formerly) loyal customer, I can tell you this: I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS HUNGRY...

Iām shocked that during the Covid crisis other companies are showing compassion and understanding for their customers, but Hungry Howies is striving to make life as difficult as possible. Hung up, called again and the employee who answered said that they were working on a $400 order and could not speak with us and said to order online. I informed them I had to ensure that the order we placed was confirmed, and that we were not calling to place an order. We just needed a confirmation that our order was received. They continued to inform me that they were working on a $400 order and that they cancelled our order because they did not have enough people in the building to place the 3 pizzas we ordered. I am hoping that the credit card we used is not charged, because we never got a confirmation of cancellation because the employee hung up the phone before we could make...
