Sat 3 Aug 2024 @ 130pm. First time visitor. Reviews generally seemed good, so we decided to try. Upon entering we saw that the menu was extensive and a nice variety of prepared foods were on display and looked good. Rather than order a meal plate, we ordered Cuban sandwiches. We requested that the sandwiches be pressed for a longer time so they'd be hotter and crispier. What we experienced: The sandwiches were big! Other reviewers said the portions were large... They were correct! The sandwiches were not pressed long enuff. The bread was really not very crispy. The pork and other meats were not warm... Not at all. In fact the meat was actually cool.. Cooler than room temp. Refrigerated? The pork was not well seasoned. A bit bland. Not enuff pickles on the sandwich. We've eaten Cuban sandwiches in Tampa for well over 30 years. Tampa is the Cuban food capital of the USA. But overall, these Cuban sandwiches were not very good. With so many other great options in Tampa, we won't be back.

Food tastes delicious but it took over 30 minutes to get a Cuban sandwich. When I ordered the person told me 10 minutes, then after about 20 minutes I asked to make sure they didn't forget, and she told me 2 minutes it'll be right out. Then another 10 minutes went by. It's unfortunate, because it tastes very good, but that's too long to wait for a sandwich on my lunch break. The place was a little busy but not packed. The menu online isn't correct. It lists a medianoche sandwich, but they don't make those (that's what I planned on ordering), and the price of a Cuban is $4.99, not $2.25 as listed online. Next time I'll go somewhere else for better service, or maybe I'll try to call and order ahead of time.

Wow, what an incredible experience! The Puerto Rican food was absolutely fantastic. Where we live, finding great Latin restaurants is nearly impossible, so this was such a treat! We enjoyed the rice 🍚 and beans 🫘, sweet plantains 🍌, and pork 🐷 —prepared in two different styles, both equally amazing. The flavors were rich and authentic, and we couldn't get enough. To top it off, I requested lime 🍋‍🟩 and garlic 🧄 sauce on the side, and it truly elevated the meal to perfection. Everything was so well-prepared and delicious that if and when we are in the area we will stop visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a taste of Puerto Rico!

The roasted pork with rice and pigeon peas, sweet plantains was so delicious!!!! I can't wait to go back!!! Excellent service as well!!! Update as of 7/13/24 I've since moved away further from this amazing restaurant on April of this year. I'm at least 40 minutes away by car. I just recently did an online delivery order and this place still meets up to my standards! I messed up on the online order being sedated with my prescribed meds and it was too late to correct it online and called the restaurant to see what I could possibly do. The girl that attended me by phone I could tell felt bad for me but that it was out of her hands unless I cancel the order and redo it. At this point the driver was already on his way to pick up my food. I couldn't do this to this man and just cancel. When the order did arrive, this wonderful individual who I had spoken to on the phone at the restaurant surprised me with the 2 large items missing that I originally want it to order to go with my meals at no additional charge. On top of it all money is tight for us as I have tons of medical issues going on with a child who has Autism and ADHD included. So with all this being said. This right here. What this woman did for us, definitely made my day! I would love to acknowledge her because she defined made a huge impact on myself and literally made me tear up. I really didn't have the money to be ordering anything at this time in my life but I had no choice given that I am literally bedridden. I will only address you as Miss.Y because that's the first letter of her first name. From the bottom of my heart. Tysm! Little did you know that I just had high risk surgery less than a week ago and couldn't cook a meal for myself nor for my son and the 2 unexpected items to complete our dinner was highly and definitely needed or else we would have just eaten a few pieces of meat and shall pieces of pointer finger sized bread. We would have been fine with just that. It could have been worse. But hey! Something in your beautiful nature touched your beautiful soul and naturally, You made things right out of your caring heart. I will forever remember this kind and loving gesture for the rest of my days. Huge hugs and be blessed a million times...

Pretty good. Cuban big great price ! Boliche with potatos piece same price since not get the meal, but it was a bit dry tought inside. It just needed a bit way to go, but is ok. Next time I put it in pressure cooker. It just needed a bit of minor softening. I didn't have a plastic good storage so I could get more sauce & if it isn't super tender fall apart without a big piece falling apart it has not much flavor & bitter. It is missing better seasoning in my opinion. Other then that & maybe better ham, though it was okay & not bad, but the stretching cheese & that flavor of cuban sandwich burts in certain bite was minimal & one side of top burnt slightly which was okay as well, at least it was not all, but I wish that stretchy oohwey gooey stretchy cheeses had been more spots or throught. It was really on one or so towards end edge corners on one spot. It was a yummy surprise. I need to ask for pork one next time. Also next Cuban with extra melty cheese. Seems like mozerrella. Also, pork on it. I hope price stays for ages to enjoy, but if need extra I'd be happy as poor as I am is to pay 25 cents for said extras, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. I got one that was not so good small end, which is ok for price, bit i did not open to check, or pickles, or cheese. It was semi satisfying not like past used to have or have had ages ago. It had been long since had one or craved one. It was just good for the price & pretty happy with it. Easy for me to get by bus or reachable for $4.25 Can't be beat ! Will go here for my Cuban fix. I hardly have my Cuban heritage cooking, for it is just on special occasions or holidays treat. I went here on Valentines, but I don't really celebrate, but gave myself that treat. I split the meat, but was so hungry all day & not filled up as much as I should have with extra shredded lettuce & tomatoes I had forgot chips, etc nor could wait to make a salad either. I wanted the shredded roast porbut must wait till...

Very disappointed after the good reviews. We ordered 3 different pork dishes and not only was the rice not fresh, the pork had no flavor, was extremely dry and tough not fresh either. Definely not typical Puerto Rican cuisine. After receiving my bill I noticed the prices were $1 plus higher per meal, than what was posted on the menu. When I brought it to the attention of the staff they mentioned the menu prices were not right, however they had a sign posted with raised prices. The actual sign posted was only referring to beef prices going up due to pandemic, which is understandable, but did not mention anything about all prices being increased and none of the staff was actually aware of what was on the sign. The manager or owner tried to explain that he posted a sign when I showed him that it only referenced beef price increases and that it wasn't about paying a few dollars more as I support small businesses especially during this time, but it was more so the principal of having a menu posted on the back wall where everyone can see and paying customers should be aware of current prices. He tried to justify, then acknowledged and said that I had a point but he hasn't had a chance to update a simple printed sign and then offered me a to-go menu in which I kindly declined. Never again!!! So...
