Tried this Mexican spot recently—overall a decent experience. The service was friendly and attentive, which made a big difference. The food was solid, but the tortillas could really benefit from being homemade—they got soggy quickly. The spicy sauce brought heat but lacked depth in flavor. Didn’t really care for their green sauce, it’s more like a juice instead of a sauce. That said, I appreciated that the place didn’t try to mimic the typical South Tampa vibe. It felt more real, more grounded. With a few tweaks, it could be a gem.

I was really disappointed with this burrito. It looked bland at first glance, but the flavor just wasn’t there at all. Everything tasted bland, no seasoning, no spice, no freshness that you expect from authentic Mexican food. The rice was plain, the beans were mushy, and the chicken had no real flavor. It felt more like a basic wrap than an actual burrito. If you’re looking for real Mexican taste, this definitely isn’t it.

Don’t be fooled by the supermarket setting – the food here is absolutely outstanding! I’ve rarely had Birria this flavorful and well-prepared. Every dish is made with care and packed with taste. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. A true hidden gem – definitely worth a visit!

From the outside it appears to be another food mart. In the inside.... that's a different story. It is small family owned and operated.

Although I've been in many times to grab something cold to drink, today I decided to try the food.

I had the beef primo burrito. It did not disappoint. It was huge, packed with more beef than rice, beans, and Pico.

They have some tables inside and outside to enjoy your meal. Or you can grab and go. The staff is always friendly.

If you enjoy eating at the hidden gems, you gotta...
