To celebrate my brother's birthday, we chose Soho Sushi for a special weekend dinner. We felt lucky to snag a reservation, as it's a popular spot for sushi lovers. One added convenience was the complimentary valet service, which allowed us to relax and head straight into the restaurant without any hassle over parking.
As we entered, the restaurant was buzzing with people enjoying their sushi dinners, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere. We were warmly greeted at the front desk before being shown to our table, where our server for the evening, Kirk, introduced himself. Kirk was outstanding; he was both personable and knowledgeable, demonstrating confidence and expertise with the menu. He made us feel well taken care of and added to the overall enjoyment of our evening.
We kicked off our celebration with a round of drinks, opting for Red Wine and sodas to get things started. For appetizers, we ordered the Chicken Katsu, Shrimp Tempura, and Chicken Sliders. Each appetizer arrived freshly prepared and did not disappoint. The Chicken Katsu was perfectly breaded and delicious--a great start to our meal. The Shrimp Tempura was light and crispy, complemented by a mix of perfectly cooked vegetables, which added a nice variety. The Chicken Sliders were juicy and flavorful, an ideal comfort food addition to our lineup of appetizers.
For our main course, we ordered a selection of sushi rolls, including the Mexican Roll, Japanese Bagel Roll, Volcano Roll, and Snake Eye Salmon Roll. When the rolls arrived, they were beautifully plated, showing attention to detail in presentation as well as flavor. Of all the rolls, the Mexican Roll and Volcano Roll stood out as our absolute favorites. They were packed with flavor and had a perfect balance of textures that made each bite delicious.
Our dinner at Soho Sushi was a wonderful experience, filled with great food and warm service. The delicious rolls and memorable appetizers made the night special, and the ambiance added to the celebration. For anyone looking for a sushi spot with top-notch service and quality dishes, Soho Sushi is a fantastic choice. We'll definitely be...
Read moreOkay, to clarify things - my friends and I arrived at the restaurant and made a reservation in advance. While we waited an hour for us to sit at the table, the restaurant was not prepared and was not ready to receive us. We arrived with 2 girls who can't walk because they had an accident on their feet, they weren't offered a seat at first not to drink water or anything, only after our anger towards the restaurant they offered her a chair. After we sat down we asked to speak to the manager, who also did not want to come at first and avoided coming several times, after we spoke to him he told us that he apologized and all the appetizers and drinks would be at the expense of the restaurant because of their disrespectful attitude. We said thank you very much and continued our evening, after receiving the bill (which, by the way, we didn't order too many appetizers and alcohol, but the cheapest things that were there so that "we wouldn't screw them up") then after the bill the waitress came and said that the appetizers and drinks were suddenly not included. Now we have no problem paying but this is not what was agreed upon, if you decided that you would not take certain dishes at the expense of the restaurant after ordering you should have come and told us. Even though the manager didn't stand by what he said, laughed at us, tried to make a story that would get us out of order, the waitress probably accidentally spilled sauce all over the table, we didn't get napkins, we asked to order a rest because it was our friend's birthday, we didn't get a menu, in short, it was shocking! And we were told very angrily that we could just leave and never come back, of course we wouldn't come back, but we didn't come to eat for free, we paid and left, we asked for the manager several times and he didn't come, the waiters didn't treat us, we waited over an hour at the entrance! I would not recommend anyone to go to this restaurant really, go advertise and eat with people who deserve your money and appreciate you and not people who look down on you. I'll be the last one to leave a bad review, keep that in mind next time you go...
Read moreI had to visit this place twice before reviewing to avoid being prejudicial. I must preface by stating by stating that I am no authority on sushi. I just like to eat it on two conditions with out exception. Firstly and most obviously sushi must be fresh, secondly sushi should be tasty. Thankfully, thus far I've not had any bad experiences with sushi which can be attributed to being overtly cautious. I've only recently began eating sushi, started with (Publix) local supermarket brand eventually graduating to more appetizing offerings from my favorite Tea bar.
I was craving Sushi last week so I thought a return visit was in order. After a second visit, my conclusion, Soho is definitely an establishment worthy of writing home about. If I recall the first time we visited Soho we had a Volcano Roll, Doughnut Roll, and a ring of fire. Let's just say I'd been craving succulent sushi since. This time around it was just my eldest son and I, Jr had Sashimi and crab rangoon and I took another shot at the Doughnut Roll which I can safely say is my favorite now. As expected, it was as fresh and delicious as it was the first time I had it months ago.
The restaurant was crowded both times that we went which is not a bad thing depending on how you look at it. For all intents and purposes, let's assume that a crowded restaurant is both good for business and indicative of quality food and service. As far as seating arrangements are concerned there's the bar, several booths, and quite a few tables that offer just enough room to bump elbows. However, tight quarters does little to spoil the dining experience. Again this is attributed to quality sushi...
