The Social Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Tampa

I was visiting Tampa for my birthday. I found this place on Google. I had already been to many tourist places and I wanted to go where the locals were. I paid $10 to get in on a Friday. The VIP area was closed and roped off. One side of the club was filled and the other side had a few people. Most of the tables had reserved signs on them, but no party was going on. There was no place else to sit, because the stools around the bar were taken. The barmaid that waited on me had a pretty smile and she was really nice and welcoming. I believe the other lady that I encountered was the manager. She was very rude and not helpful. She didn't even care about my concerns and I explained to her that I was from out of town. I was really disappointed ,because the music was good and I wanted to stay and have some fun ....

The Cotton Club use to be Gracys back in the day. It use to really jump back then. Last time I went to it the name had changed to the Cotton Club and my experience was awful. From dirty drink glasses to the sewage in the ladies room coming up onto the floor when you flush the toilet. I informed the manager and they could care less. This spot has been here forever and if the owner cared about their business and patrons they would first clean the place, fix the sewage bubbling up onto the bathroom floor issue, and expand the place.
