We recently visited Madison 2.0 to celebrate my birthday, and while our experience started off a bit rocky, it did improve over time. My husband made a reservation in advance, but when we arrived, the hostess informed us that they never received it because they no longer use that booking platform. Unfortunately, this meant we had to wait for a table and sit at the bar in the meantime. At the bar, we ordered drinks, which were excellent. However, the bartender’s service was underwhelming—she seemed indifferent and didn’t make much effort to be accommodating. We sat at the bar for over an hour before deciding to order an appetizer. We chose the cheesesteak egg rolls, which were offered in two flavors: cheesesteak or salmon. The menu stated “pick any two,” so I asked if we could get one of each. Without checking with the kitchen, the bartender simply said no. Despite this, the cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious—crispy, flavorful, and paired with a tasty sauce. For dinner, we decided to order at the bar since the hostess never returned to update us on a table. I was interested in trying the jerk chicken pasta but wanted to substitute lobster for the chicken. Again, the bartender declined without checking with the kitchen, so both my husband and I ordered the dish as is. When it arrived, it was fresh, hot, and full of flavor, which we appreciated. When we asked for silverware the bartender gave us plastic cutlery. We saw other guests using real silverware so I expected the same for our meal. She did get them but reluctantly. The hostess finally returned and said our table will be available shortly, but she returned after 40 mins or so asking if we are good, not mentioning our table. At this point we knew we would be staying at the bar throughout our visit. After dinner we asked a different bartender for the dessert menu. He asked the same female bartender who we were dealing with all night for the menu and she said no, without explanation as to why. The overall atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The DJ played a great mix of R&B and hip-hop, creating a fun vibe. While we’d be open to giving Madison 2.0 another try, a few improvements could enhance the experience—better communication regarding reservations, more accommodating service, and greater flexibility with menu customizations. If you’re a picky eater or prefer modifications, keep in mind that they stick strictly to the menu. Hopefully, on our next visit, we’ll be seated at a table and have a more attentive server. Would we return? Yes, but with tempered expectations.

I was recommended this place from a friend who went during one of their soft openings. As I understand it, the restaurant is very new. The ambiance is very nice, decor modern and appealing, temperature mild, and music was good. I know they are starting out but there are a few things that we thought needed quick improvement: - The host/bouncer is not friendly. - The music was ear-splittingly loud. The singer and keyboard was nice, but way too loud for a restaurant. It definitely had more of a club vibe and my partner and I couldn’t hold a decent convo. - We had to wait for 30+ minutes for our drink (40 for bae) when the place was close to empty on a weekend night. Bartender seemed to be in his own world, and even served drinks to two ladies that came in 20 minutes after us. Our waitress was very kind and apologetic and our drinks were comped, but we normally order a couple rounds. You can’t do that when one person’s drink comes in the middle of the main course. - Meals come with a salad and cornbread. Cornbread is delicious! Salad is not good and has little dressing. I’d not include that if I were them because it adds nothing. - Food was pretty decent. Definitely a higher price point than what you’d expect in this area. I had the jerk chicken pasta. Flavor was pretty good but the pasta was overcooked, and missing that “Al dente” chew. Bae had lobster and angel hair pasta - he enjoyed it, but the pasta was also slightly over cooked. Bae had the calamari to start and it was delicious! Having an owner or manager swing by the table to check in would be nice. Having been in service, errors happen, no big deal. But some sort of apology or recognition goes a long way. We will likely not be back. But perhaps a few kinks just need to be worked out first.

This was my first time visiting Madison 2.0, and I really wish I would have visited when they were Madison Noho just based on the menu changes alone. Any who, the service, was great starting with the young lady who greeted us at the door. We were about 15 minutes late to our reservation, and she still sat us immediately. Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. He did inform us of the menu changes since they'd switched over from Madison Noho to Madison 2.0 because I was looking for specific items to order (I like to look at the menu ahead of time). I ordered the Calamari for my appetizer, the Reloaded Crab Cakes for my entree, and the Main Street as a drink. The Calamari sits on top of a big slice of grilled pineapple. It was fresh and crispy, but it had a sweet glaze on it that I did not care for. It tasted like maple syrup and pineapple juice mixed. The drink was perfect. It had just enough crown in it to get you right 😁. The entree, however, was a complete miss. The gouda grits, as you can see from the picture, didn't even look like grits. It was giving more oatmeal texture and thickness. They were also cold, and I feel like they were left over grits from brunch earlier that day. The crab cakes on top were tasty and fresh, and the aioli on top of those were good. I did, however, end up sending the dish back due to the grits. The manager was very sweet and tried her best to accommodate, but we all ended up sending our food back. My friend had the same grits with her lamb chops. They do add 15% gratuity to every bill, which I am not a fan of. Overall, I might visit again, maybe during brunch, though.

Would give negative stars if possible. My wife told me she wanted to try this place out, so I made us reservations for Mother's Day. When calling, I made it known it was for us as well as my young children (5&2). When we arrived, we quickly realized this was not the type of place you bring children. The music is super loud and they had no high chairs. This is very much the grown and sexy type of establishment. Being that it was Mother's Day and basically every other restaurant was booked, we decided to stay. Bad choice.

We were seated after a small wait of less than 5 mins. The tablecloth was wet (the party prior to us likely spilled something on it). We were given 1 menu because they "were busy and didn't have enough menus" (no kids options). No big deal, we adjust and figure it out. After about 10 minutes, the waiter comes over and we place our order.

We specifically asked for a side of French fries to come out before the rest of the food so the kids can have something to munch on. We understood it was busy and expected it would take a while. An HOUR AND TEN MINUTES later and after asking the waiter 3 times, we get our fries with an apology that the kitchen was running behind.

I told my wife if the rest of the food isn't here by the time the fries are eaten, we will leave. Right when I asked for the check to pay for the fries, my plate came out. It was very clearly something that wasn't intended for me, but they brought it just to appease. I wait (had no choice because I was never given silverware) for my wife and kid's meal to come so we can all eat. After 10 more mins, waiter comes back and says he just checked and their meals weren't ready and would still be a while. I paid for the fries and we left.

We tried to give this place a shot as we wanted to support a local black owned business, but they clearly have no clue how to operate a business. It's all glitz and glamour, but they fall way short at being an actual restaurant. As someone who has worked in kitchens, they likely have inexperienced chefs/cooks and they can't keep up with the orders.

Needless to say, we will NEVER give them or their sister restaurant (Table 22) another shot They ruined Mother's Day for my wife. I felt bad because I was so happy to do this for her and they just failed miserably in every...

First time visiting Madison NoHo. The restaurant has a nice cozy vibe and live music which was great. Drinks and service was awesome. Seating and the space between tables was tight. We sat in the middle of the floor and the person behind me was trying to get out backed into my chair. There was just not enough space between tables and we was pretty back to back. Upon reviewing the menu that was in a document protector we was advised of them being out of about 4 menu items. We got the calamari to start ($18)and it was supposed to have a mango glaze which appeared to be missing. The calamari was fried very hard and tough to chew, we sent it back. I had the Jerk chicken pasta ($27), the chicken was seasoned but very dry and over cooked hard to swallow. The portion was small and came out on a saucer size plate. The pasta it's self had really no flavor. My husband had lamb chops that was just ok. The didn't appear to be grilled, I'm assuming they where baked? The quality of the lamb chop and appearance wasn't worth ($48). This place has potential but I think the food definitely needs some work. The best part of our dinner was the cornbread and the side salad you get with any entrée. I think they should review the food pricing and the quality of the food. Also the server didn't give me an actual receipt when it was time to pay. He brought out a tablet that said $140. So I couldn't confirm what I was actually being charged for. He did tell me I was charged 18% gratuity for a party of 2, even though the device I paid on prompted me to leave another tip. For some reason he said the normal system they used was down and that was the reason for no itemized receipt. I was really hoping this place would be a hidden gem, but the food quality just isn't there. I'm only giving 3 stars for the vibe, live music and drinks. The quality of the food I would only give a 2. I don't think we will be back as the food just isn't worth the...
