A Pho-nomenal Experience in Tampa

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, VietHaus is a must-visit! Nestled in the heart of Tampa, this charming eatery serves up some of the best pho you'll find in the area.

From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting ambiance sets the stage for a delightful meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the pho. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful, perfectly balancing savory and aromatic notes that transport your taste buds straight to Vietnam. The noodles are perfectly cooked—springy and tender—providing a wonderful texture that complements the tender meat options, whether you choose beef, chicken, or a vegetarian variant.

Don’t forget to customize your bowl with fresh herbs, lime, and chili for an added burst of flavor! Portions are generous, ensuring that you'll leave with a full belly and a satisfied smile.

In addition to pho, the menu features a variety of appetizers and other traditional dishes that are equally impressive. Be sure to try the spring rolls for a refreshing starter.

Overall, VietHaus is a hidden gem that stands out in Tampa’s vibrant culinary scene. With its delicious pho, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere, it's a place that's sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're a pho aficionado or a first-timer, you won't be...

Yes I killed the whole pho including the soup! It’s that good no cap!

Why ? It has no msg and you can tell the flavor is just from fresh spices and quality meat/bones itself. I recommend mixing the hoisin and siracha on the side and slowly spoon the mixture accordingly on to every other bite of the noodles and meat so you won’t cloud the soup till you finish the last drop of it. Plus I don’t feel stuffed or lethargic after like how I usually feel after finishing a bowl of pho in other restaurant.

Banh Mi is a must. I had it to go coz after the pho I feel super nourished and I wanna enjoy the Banh mi as a snack later on. The house mixed Vietnamese mayo and the homemade daikon compliments the Xa Xiu/ Charxiu/ barbecue pork so well. Pork was thinly sliced and it has a good ratio of fat to lean meat. Probably the best Banh Mi I’ve had. And they have the tofu and avocado vegetarian option.

I shared a lot of food in this post because I went two days in a row during my short stay in Tampa.

The pork chop over rice right has the perfect char and the flavor is similar to what you get from mom’s cooking. Warm and hearty! It was sold out the first day I went….

Will I be back? Y’all...

I was craving pho so I did a quick Google search and narrowed it down to three spots. I decided on Viet Haus because it’s family-owned and the pho had great reviews. I’m glad I trusted my gut because the beef pho was exactly what I needed! For appetizer, I had the tofu summer roll and the shrimp summer roll - both really good and served with (an optional) peanut sauce. Each order comes with two rolls. Even though I was full by the 5th spoonful of pho, I kept eating because of the tasty broth. I’m happy I found this spot and you will, too!

Other pluses: The service was great. Everyone was kind and welcoming. The space is not too big (which I prefer) however if it was full, I’d gladly wait in line. While it was just my friends and I at the location, the restaurant was constantly preparing to-go orders. It’s located in a shopping plaza but we had no trouble finding parking. Oh and parking is free!

One small thing…my friend ordered the mango smoothie with rainbow jellies but it was too sweet and not to her liking. Everyone’s preferred sweetness is different so if you love sweet drinks,...

Viet Haus on Waters Ave is an absolute treasure. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the comforting aroma of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The menu is packed with classic favorites, and everything I’ve tried has been exceptional. The pho is rich and flavorful with a broth that tastes like it’s been simmering for hours—perfectly balanced and incredibly comforting. Their banh mi is crisp, fresh, and packed with savory, well-seasoned meats. I also highly recommend the grilled pork vermicelli bowl—generous portions, vibrant herbs, and a great mix of textures. The service is consistently friendly, attentive, and quick, even during busy hours. The space is clean, relaxed, and welcoming, making it great for a casual lunch or dinner. Viet Haus has quickly become my go-to spot for Vietnamese food in Tampa. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic dishes served with care, don’t miss this place!

This place was such a special gem! It is all family run, fresh organic ingredients and tastes so authentic and made with love. ❤️ My boyfriend and I went today to get some pho because we’ve been under the weather. We both got the steak pho and fresh spring rolls. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was homemade and the rolls were made fresh. It was delicious! The pho broth is cooked for 24 hours and was so rich and flavourful! The owner was kind and welcoming and came to our table personally to tell us about the menu and he was there with the entire family, they all worked together wonderfully and gave us amazing service. Only thing to be aware of is that it’s a bit small inside with limited seating so it may be difficult to be seated if you come with more than a group of 4 but if anything they also do takeout! We will definitely be back and soon! 10/10 🥰🙏🏽
