My family and I have been coming here for over 25 years. I didn't even know this place had a name, of course, I'm not sure we go into the area where it's officially "the park." we generally have always just parked on the side of the road and stayed next to the river. It is quite peaceful to stop here next to the Hillsborough River and enjoy the company of your family, friends, or whoever you swindled to come with you. It is truly enjoyable to just hang out with those that came with you. Many many times we have stopped here to enjoy a meal and each other's company. You can choose from any of the nearby fast food places, i.e., McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Wendy's, Checkers, Subway, Wawa, or even a picnic brought from home. You could also bring your favorite purchase from the liquor store next door. Either way, as you sit alongside the calming and somewhat serene river, watching ducks and boats go by some big, some small (yep, that goes for the ducks and boats.) I can assure you your spirits will be high as you enjoy the food, spirits, and company of those who came with you...or that poor sucker you swindled to come...

My husband brought me here years ago when we first started dating and we would visit periodically when we lived in the area. We recently brought our kids to see it for the first time. It's a great way to introduce natural springs to a pre-schooler. We saw ducks wading in the spring. There is an open area for running and a steep incline around the spring pool that my daughter enjoyed running up. Across the street is Hillsborough river with a bench. There is no playground. Normally there is nobody else there but I have noticed people will occasionally park and sit in their car for a few...
Read moreSmall peaceful outdoors location relatively untouched but that's about all it has going, as there's nothing else to see. The park was so small that I could hardly distinguish it from the surrounding neighborhoods. The key attraction is this natural (?) shallow spring that looks cool and will probably hold your attention for four entire minutes. There's also a super busy two way road and highway nearby so it's not exactly the most quiet place either. Anyhow, this park might be worthy if you're living in the area or maybe passing by this road specifically but...
