2/6/2023 We've been going here regularly for the past year. Seems service has been going down at a rapid pace. First impression: What is Joe's responsibility as a manager? He doesn't greet anyone, doesn't observe or resolve issues, and plainly doesn't care about impressions.
3 weeks ago, beverages (beer) came when we were finishing our salad, and the salad took over 15 minutes to get. A person might think that if the manager walks by and sees no menus, no food and no beverage on a table, then maybe he should find out why?
2 weeks ago, leftovers were boxed, still had beer in our glasses. Got up to use the restroom. Returned to the table only to find it cleared, food thrown away. So much for half a prime rib, half a steak, and what remained of our beers.
Last night: Customer got upset that the pepper shaker didn't pour as fast as he wanted. Asked for another shaker. Waitress took the shaker and showed that pepper came out by shaking on her hand. Again he asked for a different shaker. Joe, the manager, took his shaker, shook in his hand, and handed it back to the customer. The customer said he wanted a new shaker and if he can't get one, give him a to-go box. Joe sent an employee to get the box. Handed the box to the customer, made some unintelligible comment that made the customer spring up. They went nose to nose, about 6" apart. Then came the "F"-bombs. Joe telling the customer to get the "F" out.
Rather than apologize to all the customers he offended, he went looking for high fives!
Sorry, but the food is pretty good. But watching this manager tear apart this business is too much. I'll find another weekly spot! Not worth the headaches and poor customer service/relations.
UPDATE: After visiting the Tampa location, the Tarpon location pales in comparison.
3 weeks later and no communication from the owner. They quickly post on Yelp, but then don't respond to the two emails I sent. Apparently the Tarpon location isn't worth fighting for.
TWO MONTH FOLLOW-UP: Posted reviews on Google and another. Same corporate stamp response to contact them. Emailed, per their instructions, several times. NO RESPONSE. Apparently my decision to not visit them again is what they prefer.
5/17/25: We sat at the bar, which is where we typically sit. Stopped going for a very long time due to the management. He's gone. After Tampa Road burned down we decided to give Tarpon another chance. Over the last several months you have lost the best bartenders, Kim, Courtney and Casey. The service isn't the best as newbies tend to stand around asking what to do, instead of action. This issue was more food quality. The customer next to me ordered the steak bites. Complained about it being chewy and spitting out the pieces. I ordered the same and my sone ordered a steak. My food was full of gristle. Couldn't get past 1/2 the meal. My son's steak had fat and gristle lines throughout, and he couldn't cut or eat it. We stopped a manager, the girl with short blonde hair, and she said she would tell the cook. How about telling the bartender? We couldn't eat our meal! How about a discount? We couldn't eat our meal! The bartender waited 15 minutes to see if she was taking off anything from our bill. Nothing, and the manager disappeared. We wanted to celebrate my birthday, but this experience destroyed that. Sorry but the quality, the management, and the oversight has really slipped. We used to look forward to going at least one night a week. After this experience, it will be a long time...

Went to dinner at tarpon springs location, mother's 67 birthday. It was Monday Building was empty Renee was the manager on staff. building was quiet for the evening we were seated at about 6:45 just about 15 minutes before happy hour ended.
We were not greeted until about 4 minutes before 7:00 we were asked what we'd like to drink in order to pina coladas with floaters an 3 Waters and a Coke. Asked for some rolls and an additional set of rolls and offed to pay for them.
Our table was empty no peanuts, no rolls no waters at 7:20 the Pina coladas came out and they were mostly water they have been sitting for so long. They came out with no fruit and not looking very refreshing. we asked if they could be remake them because they were not frozen drinks at this point it was melted ice.. the waitress said she can ask to make them again but they're going to come out the same.
Manager came back out with new pina coladas; said she made them herself and they looked exactly the same it doesn't even look like they remade them they were actual worse then before. ice cubes still in the cup that hadn't been ground up no fruit, we tried them and told them no thanks. Now this was about over a half hour after we've been seating and the rolls finally came out. One set and we asked for another.
We ordered the large ribeye steak medium well with the baked potato a chicken quesadilla 2 onion soups and the 3 salads. Salad was soggy like it was left over from the weekend , The 2 onion soups overcooked to where the cheese was not enjoyable The onion in the soup was not diced properly as it was before ,the ribeye steak was burnt so bad you could only taste charcoal, there was no seasoning and flavor in it whatsoever and the potato was undercooked.
At this point our food has come out and we has asked two times for extra rolls and was told they had to be made while other tables that were being seated or getting them. We asked to see the manager because the steak was overcooked and had absolutely no flavor and the waitress and rolled her eyes at my father. When Renee came out she agreed and apologized to steak was in terrible condition and asked if we would like it to be remade at this point we have been there for almost an hour.
They had the steak remade and waited longer so my father could eat the steak came out again with no spices no flavor and no remade potato with the male general manager. At this point my father had had enough we paid for our meal in which we had to beg for rolls and were charged 2 times extra for them but we're so hard to get... Left a generous tip despite the lack of service and respect or quality of food no less no one was even offered a refill on our drinks and decided that will no longer be visiting this establishment.
I can't remember the waitresses name or the male gm but overall very unpleasant experience on such a special occasion. Very disappointed and it should be addressed. As for the Cody's email response I'll let you know if I hear back from them otherwise it's just a generic BS response like every other big corporation acting...
Read moreI went to meet a very darling friend of mine for dinner. , we chose Cody's roadhouse as a perfect place to have a good meal. And conversation. we were joined by. Our waitress, KIRYANA who was very prompt, and vvery professional. She had a Very warm smile on her face and you could hear her smile in her voice. KIRYANA was right on top of her game from start to finish, ensuring that not only. We enjoyed our meal, but that we also had a great time. With laughter. I will never as I am sure my friend will never forget KIRYANA and the way that we were treatedit KIRYANA should be the example. Everybody leads from, a very beautiful, warm personality,. Very well, spoken and professional, right on point.a true example of what customer service should be , I can't say anything more than the fact that she is by far. A top-notch waitress period......!!!! ALTHOUGH!!!!!! ALTHOUGH, being treated unfairly very Unfairly by someone of whom she works with. that person should be ashamed of themselves and NO LONGER permitted to work in an establishment AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! YOU DISGRACEFUL PIG!!!! where they can no longer have face the face contact with any other human being!!!! AGAIN for they clearly do not know how to treat. Another soul so as far as. They are concerned. I'm sure they know who they are. You should be more than ashamed of yourself. Your a Despicable, human being. And AN UTTER DISGRACE AND EMBARRASSMENT TO the very values. Core believes morals and standards of Cody's roadhouse grill. What you have is a top-notch. Stellar waitress, who puts her heart and her soul into every one of her customers. And I got to clearly see that with my very own 2 eyes. And my friend with hers making that Two of us that witnessed what you put her through What you did to her is disgusting in my eyes making you a disgusting human being you should be fired as for your waitres she should be Given a raise and promoted.
