Customer service has gone down since they have moved to new location and seems like their selection is smaller. I buy my fur babies the Farmina Brand N&D food. I have noticed the price is going up (but then again what hasn’t) but the last few times I have purchased they did not have the selection of items. I mentioned it and she said “no we do it’s the same”. I said “no I get lamb and you never have the lamb anymore”. She showed me a different kibble size and said “you probably got this one” She had me doubting myself. I went online and there it was the lamb mini bites. Today I was annoyed I went in and the selection was slim. I also noticed the bags were all smaller but same price or more. I mentioned it to her and she said “no they are the same size”. I said no I have been buying this food for years I know it isn’t. She said maybe you got a different kind. I went to my car and looked it up. Sure enough the bag in their store is 4.4 lbs and online is 5.5 lbs. for the same brand at same price. Either they really don’t know their cost and size of their inventory or they just want to act like everything is the same to the customer. Just admit it. We shopped at Dog Lovers in Tarpon Springs for over 8 years. Last Christmas we bought our two dogs some dog mats to sleep on for Christmas. They were washed according to instructions but they did not hold up well at all. They were not cheap either. The insides all bunched up and would not spread out at all. We returned them, hoping to choose something else. The staff did not seem to have the authority to handle a return. The owner eventually came out and said that we must not have washed them properly - we did. She also said that she could not keep replacing our returns whenever we wanted. This was the first return we EVER made in 8 years. Not a nice way to treat loyal customers and they did not stand behind their merchandise. We love ‘Dog Lovers’! Debbie and her team provide outstanding customer service all of the time. My family is busy, so we greatly appreciate the pet food delivery service! Today we tried the pet wash stations on site, and it was so much better than attempting to wash my two huge dogs at home. The pet wash area is equipped with everything you might need, and is well appointed with towels, soaps, dryers, and more. After scrubbing down two dogs I didn’t have the normal back-breaking pain thanks to the adjustable wash basin that allows you to lift or lower the tub. Overall, I appreciate this business very much because of the outstanding customer service.
