Papasitos fresh Mexican food — Restaurant in Tarpon Springs

I’m not typically the type to write a bad review, but time never had this bad of an experience. I live in the area of Tarpon and had my Google GPS set to food near me. However, I am in a different area for my boyfriend’s birthday. I called in an order because I thought the restaurant looked good, and was beautiful. The women on the phone asked me what I would like to order. I stated with an empanada, she said they don’t have those. It took me a minute to collect my thoughts on what to think to get because I was time pressed (not the restaurants fault). I ordered 2 tacos, chips and quac and rice and beans the women said “have you ever been here before?” I said no “I havnt” she asked for my card information in advance which I thought was odd but said of course! I provided the information. She said 20 minutes. I drove to the restaurant I believed I was calling in, and they said they didn’t have an order. Immediately I realized I messed up and of course felt terrible! I called the restaurant to let them know I made the mistake. They said that I lost them money, and that there a small buissness. (I completely understand where there coming from). I made a mistake. I felt horrible. I spoke to a man and asked him if there’s something I could do, maybe pick up the food when im in the area again. Of course I didn’t want them to lose money and of course i didn’t want my boyfriend because of my mistake. He understood and said he would put the owner on. She said she would refund me but would block my number and to never go to the resturant again. She said her niece who took my order said I sounded funny. I felt terrible, none of this was my intention. I made an honest mistake. I wanted to tell the owner I would come back and make up for it somehow, by eating, etc. (I’m honestly usually a 20 percent tipper or higher” she didn’t let me talk… she simply said she would block me, I made her business lose money, and to next call or go there. I just felt they could have been nicer, that’s all. I was in customer service. I didn’t mean to make my mistake. I’m human. Overall just never experienced someone speak to me so cold before. I was very polite and didn’t yell or get mad at the people… I know my boyfriend said he wish I just gave him the phone. My intentions weren’t to be rude. Anyway… I hope no one else experiences this and I hope if the resturant sees this they just think about how to re phrase there words, words are powerful and there’s no reason to be rude or mean. We live in a world that’s very harsh, and sometimes being nice goes along way. I did get the refund back just wanted to be treated with better customer service is all. Ok let's start this review by saying I'm disgusted on how they can allow someone to walk in and pay 97.00 for 14 tacos and 4oz rice and kids burrito with shredded chicken and a red cheap sauce.. when I placed this order I went on the price online which is a little cheaper but when I arrived they gave me a 97 dollar tab.. they could've stated this on the phone upon arrival and I would've gladly declined that order. I can go to don tacos they charge 5 per taco but.... the taco comes with 2 tortillas and enough meat to fill up two.. so you're getting them for 2.50.... and they tell u the price on the phone not jus run the card knowing that 97 dollars for chopped up meat and rice.... Steve is the reason this place gets any recognition every time I drive by it's completely dead... I know good Mexican food coming from San Jose califas .... I can assure u 10 tacos in California is 10 dollars ..to buy meat in cali is way more expensive then here why is it more expensive in Florida ... they are trying to make tacos a delicacy when tacos are for quick cheap way to fill up... I'm not gonna tell u how to run your place but the minute your "son" took the order he asked for the card never gave me a total.. who would expect to pay close to 100 for chopped meat.. 5 stars for atmosphere that place always been...

I dined here recently. I was told a free beer for Cinco d' Maya. When my food arrived the beer didn't. I was dining outside, so I had to go back inside & ask the waiter why I didn't get it. He brought the food & 1 glass of water & beer. He placed 2 separate plates for my food, 1 placed near the edge of the table. 1 dish was spicey hot & I went thru the water immediately. I attempted to cut the food & it flipped onto me, the ground & my chair. Waiter was nowhere to be found. Again, I went inside to get help. The woman at the front told a boy to get a broom & dustpan. I made it clear that I needed water to get the mess off me. I never had any assistance to get water & the boy spent all his time cleaning the mess off the floor. When I left, the waiter asked how my meal was. I told him I only got to eat part of it. Told him what happened. He said that's too bad. No help, never asked if I needed a replacement for spilled food. No tip for him & not returning. This...
