Noticed right away, from even their opening day, parking lots been full with customers waiting for an open parking space! Always loved the food there, when it was mexican restaurants. One day while driving by, when we finally saw an opening to park, we thought we would see what all the hype was about! Went in and I was surprised to see all the tables were taken out standing only with customers surrounding the room, I would guess waiting on their orders? looked up at the menu and not much there simple taco burritos from what i can remember. We always got tacos in the past so I asked for what i figured everyone was waiting for, TACOS! After all that's what their sign on the street shows TACOS. The lady asked what kind of meat and I found that kind of weird, have never been asked that before at any mexican restaurant, so after giving her a puzzled look I said which seemed strange hearing it come out of my mouth ''hamburger''? She quickly said we don't have hamburger? I know I stood there in a daze like i made a mistake like maybe i walked into a different type of restaurant . I couldn't have been more embarrassed bewildered than if i was standing in a barber shop asking for a taco feeling so stupid and looking around at all the customers wondering what they had ordered with only a few items on the menu. I was so confused and with no help from the young girl waiting on me to tell her what to do next. The only thing outside of making even a bigger fool of myself was to say thanks and left! Walked out to tell my wife what just happened while looking up at their sign reassuring myself that I was indeed at a TACO restaurant! My question that has still got me buffaloed is how can a business like a TACO restaurant start out with such great traffic, right away! and not sell the main item on every mexican restaurants menu a ''hamburger'' TACO or just saying taco said it all! Never had to say hamburger in all the thousand times i've ordered tacos all over the country! What is all the hype about! I don't get it! Doesn't almost everyone prefer regular hamburger tacos? How many other people had my same experience? Back...
Read moreAs plenty of other reviews point out. The girl with the glasses was very unpleasant. I asked for carne asada fries with raw jalapeños. I notice when I get my food that there is no jalapeño slices. I go up and inform her that they forgot to add jalapeño. She says that she personally checked my food and saw them add jalapeño. I happen to photograph my food pretty often when I come here so I pulled up numerous pictures of what it looks like when they actually add jalapeño to the dish and pointed out the fact that my food looks nothing like all the other times I requested extra jalapeño. The dish comes with pico da gallo which already includes tiny chopped jalapeños she tries to lie and say that the little chopped up jalapeños in the pico mix ARE the extra jalapeños that I ordered. I go up to the counter with 5 pictures from instances where I ordered carne asada fries with extra jalapeños and they clearly come sliced in circles and they give you a bunch of them all over the top, impossible to miss. Upon seeing the photos which blatantly show that she lied, she changes her story and tells me that I never asked for raw jalapeño which is why they didn’t add any. So which one is it did I not order any or did you personally make sure they added it? As I sit there and realize that she’s playing in my face and just lying to get me to walk away instead of correcting her mistake, I go up to her once again to point out the fact that she lied. She tells me that I should have checked the monitor and made sure my order was correct and then begrudgingly asks the chef to get my jalapeños. All she had to do in the first place was just give me what I ordered but instead she wanted to argue about it and gas light me into thinking her mistake...
Read moreI love this place and they have great food but today the service was rude and unprofessional. I placed an order at the Allen Park location by mistake and meant to place it at the Taylor location. The girl at the front counter asked what I ordered and told me I need to go there to get the food because that’s a lot of food. As I was going to walk out she said she will place it here this the last time. I placed the order and as I was thinking on how rude she was I went back inside and asked for a refund. She said they don’t do refunds. There is no sign that states they don’t do refunds. I said, call your manager. She called her manager and I got my refund. It really is just the common courtesy you don’t talk to your customers like that. I am a restaurant manager myself, and I would not tell a customer you have to go to the other location to get the food. She definitely needs to correct her tone when speaking to customers. I work hard for my money and there are a lot of great restaurants...
