This location has always been subpar, even coming from a former employee. Every issue stems from the owner, so if you’re reading this PLEASE take not only my review, but the dozens of other poor reviews, and listen.
This location is extremely fickle, pay no mind to the listed hours because they run on their own schedule. I consistently avoid this location even though I reside very very close to it. I always make sure to call ahead to see if they’re even open since I’ve had one too many instances where I pull up and there’s absolutely nobody to be found. Not to mention this location always has something out of stock. Really, if you want to get Tim Hortons you should just go to the nearby one on Ecorse, they have never failed me (I have worked at both locations, the work environment at this location is very poor compared to the one on Ecorse).
As for the employees, I really can’t blame them. Every time I’ve gone to this location they seem very depressed and dissatisfied with their job (again, can’t blame them). Albeit, I haven’t had a bad interaction with any of the employees. In fact, some have gone out of their way to ensure the safety and accuracy of my order considering I have multiple food allergies. I really can’t blame the staff for being upset or “unprofessional” when the issue stems from poor management and a poor business owner.
To the owners, YOU are the issue. You need to reevaluate the way you run your business and start taking more responsibility with leading and guiding your store. Invest in more training for both yourself and your management staff. YOU are allowing for the continuous poor quality and you do not care! It’s blasphemous that you allow your business to live as is. It upsets me to see places with great potential die because of the neglect of the owners. This location could be so much better if you actually cared. Read moreWhile they are nice and the service is fast, nearly every time I get iced coffee here it looks and tastes completely different. I always get iced coffee with one sugar shot and two cream, not complicated, but the four or five times I’ve gone, it looks and tastes different every time. Sometimes it’s cold as it should be. Other times there is hardly any ice and the coffee is still warm. Sometimes it’s sickeningly sweet while other times it is not sweet at all. Sometimes it’s creamy and light brown, other times they do not add enough cream and it’s dark brown. Finally, last time when I got watered down coffee that had NO sweetness and clearly not enough cream, I asked for them to remake it, which they did and it was the correct flavor and sweetness. Another time I got a bacon and egg croissant sandwich that was completely inedible. There were pieces of burnt hard fragments (that’s the only way I can’t describe it) littered throughout the entire sandwich that I couldn’t chew and was forced to throw it out because it was so disgusting. It literally tasted like pieces of aluminum foil. Pieces of those burnt fragments went all over my seat. They also do not seem to give napkins unless asked. They really need consistency in their coffee flavor. I should not get an entirely different coffee depending on who makes it. For that reason, I can’t keep risking wasting my money here and will be trying the Ecorse location, even though they are a straight shot to I-94 where I’m usually headed. Read moreToday will be my last time ever coming BACK to this Tim Hortons. I started coming here in April of 2018. I would come every early morning for coffee and donuts and come back for lunch. I finally have had enough. The store has been closed down at night time every night. I called and complained about this because clearly the site stated they are open 24 hours. I was told by the manager of the store Ana that there was only one person working at night time and thats only a baker. Thats ridiculous to only have 1 person at night time. So usually I go in drive thru around 5am ever since discussing this issue with the store manager. The girls they have working the drive thru in the morning are the rudest human beings I've ever come across. Specifically, the chubby black lady with the curly fro. She rushed me out of the drive thru because she didnt hear what I said over the speaker and they will not add anything on to your order at the window even though it is they're fault! So fast forward to this morning, I come in and Im looking at the new donuts they have and there are gnats all over the donuts! Thats disgusting! Gnats all over the donuts, flying around the shelves. I look over the registers and see more gnats flying from out of the trash can area and there is clearly some type of liquid leaking out! The employees never smiled or greeted me.
