Went 2 days in a row. No, I’m not proud of myself. Ordered a malt both times and had to throw them out. Almost choked on the peanuts that were in BOTH of the them, on two different days. First time, I ordered through drive thru, when I ordered the malt, he said he “got it” but it didn’t say it on the screen, I repeated myself ordering the malt, again I was told “I got it.” Well then he tried to hand me cone at the window, I told him I ordered a malt, they said they were going to make one. They made it, I got my order and almost choked on the peanuts in the bottom. I tried to tough it out but every few seconds I would get another peanut, it was annoying, so I pitched it. If the order is correct on the screen, it should be correct at the window. Don’t guess. Went today and had more peanuts in my malt, I tried to strain it, (a dumb idea, I know) it just created a mess in the kitchen. I like this Dairy Queen, I think the kids that work there are good. But this sucked…someone either: A) PUT peanuts in BOTH malts, or B) knowingly LEFT peanuts in BOTH malts. Regardless of why the peanuts were in BOTH malts, it’s a sign of poorly trained workers/poorly performing workers/poorly managed. Literally ruined my treat to my family two...

I've enjoyed this particular Dairy Queen location many times and today I realized that I've been remis in my diligence to write a review, so I will make up for that right now. I entered the store and was promptly greeted by Rhonda G. who took my order and then, when it was ready, brought it to my table. She checked on me during my meal to see if everything was good and/or if I was in need of anything else. On this occasion, as I was finishing my meal and my Blizzard treat, a gentleman dressed in "Michigan" garments (Go Blue), just as I was also wearing, approached and asked me how everything was. I explained that everything was good but that everything is always good here. After a few minutes of casual talk about this (and other) DQ's that I have frequented, the gentleman identified himself as Sam the store owner. I told him that I always get good service there and that some of the staff actually make me feel like family. I then gave an example of Rhonda and the gentleman who took care of me the previous day. Come to find out, that gentleman is Sam's brother who is a co-owner of the store. So if you want to enjoy some delicious food and treats, stop in at this location and join the DQ "Family"...
Read moreI love Dairy Queen, but today I was highly disappointed. My son ordered a tender meal. After he ordered, I ordered the same thing with sauce. The first order came out as we were sitting down (immediately), and the fries were cold..almost like they had been sitting. I waited for my order and realized she didn't add the second chicken tender meal. I let someone at the counter know, and they asked me to return to the end of the (long) line. I became visibly annoyed, and she quickly agreed to take my order. She then asks if I wanted a drink (I thought it came with the meal). I said yes, I'll have a Coke and Sprite. She brings my food with only one cup (I asked for two). I can see messing up the order once but twice with 2 different servers is a bit much. At that point, I didn't say anything, shares the drink with my son, and we left. Not happy. Spent 30+ dollars for mediocre food and incomplete orders. The staff was very kind and friendly, which is why I...
