Update (August 10th 2021): Went back to see if anything had changed. The closing time is still set as 11:00 PM, but they lock their doors at 10:00 PM. No signs or anything indicating a 10:00 PM closing time. I would take away the last star if I could.
Update (July 8th 2021): An issue I have noticed is online they have a closing hour of 11:00 PM. No where in the store do they have a lobby closing time so one would assuming 11:00 PM is that closing time. They however lock the doors well before that. I was still inside at 10:30 when they started turning off the lights to get me to leave. As I went for the doors on the side of the building my car was at, they told me to leave on the opposite side of the building and walk all the way around because they had already locked those doors. They lose two more stars for that.
They need to post a lobby closing time if they want people out well before they leave, seeing as they still have drive through until 11:00 PM. Also locking people in and making them walk all the way around the building is pretty ridiculous seeing as the only exit they leave open puts people in the way of cars in the drive through. I have come here often but I don't think I will return anytime soon.
(previous review) I came here multiple times for a few weeks before I wrote this review. I have read other reviews and I wanted to see what was and what wasn't true. What I found is that there isn't much to fault in this Apollo Burger. There is wheelchair accessibility, it's very clean, more so than other fast food places like the big franchises (McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.). The atmosphere is nice. The lobby is big with lots of seating and tables. High seating for children is also available. The place was remodeled not too long ago, so chairs and tables are still in great condition and looking relatively new. A much different aesthetic than some older Apollo Burgers. The light wooden tables and seating are more modern. General lighting is decent with many windows during the day and a light over every table and are not overpowering. Bathrooms are small, but clean and functional.
Food wise, variety is about what you would expect from a burger place, a bunch of different sandwiches, a burrito, and five different salads. Deserts from what I can tell include for different flavors of shakes, rice pudding and baklava. Everyone should try their popular Apollo Burger at least once. Its a typical burger with bread, patty, cheese, lettuce tomato and onion, but with a delicious Pastrami added. I find the pastrami is more flavorful than what is found in there's competitor's Crown Burger. They don't however have a kid's or value menu. Price varies, but come expecting to pay $10+ for a combo.
Now the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, is because like some have said before, they can get the order wrong from time to time. If you're dining in, it's not much of a problem as they will do what they can to fix it, it's when you order through drive through where is can be more problematic as I have noticed is more frequent and you will have to return to get it taken care of. In all fairness, this is a problem in all fast food places. But it's slightly (slightly, not a ridiculous amount) more frequent at this Apollo Burger. It's good however that they make the food quickly and bring it to your table when it's ready.
Final thing I would mention is that they are good about wearing their masks during these Covid times.
Over all, I would say this is a great place to eat and...
Read moreWe were entirely forgotten about at the drive thru window for at least twenty minutes as our food grew cold. A huge line was growing behind us and i gave them the benefit of the doubt for too long- i told my crying toddler that sometimes it takes a long time to cook food and that we just needed to be patient. Eventually i had to knock on the window to get anyone’s attention, and the man who opened it wasn’t at all apologetic about what happened, and just handed us the food that had been steadily getting colder for ages. Additionally, they charged for extra cheese and extra tomato on a burger that we had 1. Not asked for extra cheese on, nor was there extra cheese and 2. Specified that we wanted no tomatoes on, because it was for a toddler. The woman taking the order seemed confused when taking the order, so i said the unambiguous “this is for my toddler. He doesn’t like tomatoes.” So of course i was charged fifty cents to get a bunch of tomatoes were specifically didn’t want. Other locations of Apollo Burger have been great, so I don’t have any gripe with the franchise, but this location is one I’m never going to again. I give service workers a lot of grace but this was the longest I’ve ever waited in a drive thru and my toddler was...
Read moreI went to this location on friday around 840 pm. i went to the drive thru, there was this young girl who took my order at the intercom. i seen on the digital screen that my total was $30.29. when i arrived to the window to pay and get my food she did not pay attention at all. there was no hello, nothing friendly at all. when i paid she didnt show the screen at all, its like she was hiding it. my account went through on the $30.29, she acted as it didn’t. when i confronted her about it, she realized and handed me my drinks. literally a minute after handing me my drinks, she comes back out and says i had $0.46 to pay. mind you , the payment was $30.29 at the intercom. that’s exactly what i paid at the window. i told her it went through on my account and showed her as well. when i did this she was very upset that i said that, she came off rude and said “ well here it shows $0.46 “ i gave her the same attitude back and said i’ll pay the $0.46 and that i’d call my bank the next day. when i said this her whole demeanor changed and she gave me my food AFTER i paid this $0.46. when she gave my receipt the total showed $30.29. she is scamming, i did NOT tip her at all. so why did i have to pay $0.46 when i already...
