Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in Taylorsville

I have been coming to the Taylorsville location for a number of years and have always been extremely pleased with the food and service. I especially enjoyed the fact that you could customize your pizza by asking the preparer to "add more" of this, or that, and they graciously would. However, I was extremely disappointed when I came to this same location approximately 2 weeks ago ( March 20, 2024) to find that they changed how you ordered your pizza and you could no longer have it "made to order". This time, I ordered my pizza with all the toppings and was told to "have a seat and we will call you." Upon receiving my pizza, I was extremely disappointed! There were hardly any toppings!

I had ordered, chicken, pineapple, roasted garlic, mushrooms, green peppers, torn basil and torn spinach. On one hand, I could count the number of pieces of chicken, pineapple, roasted garlic, green peppers and mushrooms that was on the pizza! And the basil and spinach were not torn either, there were maybe 3 leaves of each and they were left whole, which is NOT what I wanted, because as I bit into the pizza, the basil or spinach leaf/leaves literally brought everything else down off the pizza onto the plate. It was terrible! I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the construction of my pizza and the preparer, due to this. I had decided that IF I came here again, I was going to see if I could talk with a manager or the preparer about putting more toppings on my pizza as I used to be able to do in the past.

Well, I just came to this same location, today, April 3, 2024, but this time with several people from my office and because of the number of people, I decided to just go through their new process and see how my pizza turned out. Well, once again, I and several of my colleagues were EXTREMELY disappointed with our pizzas. I ordered the same toppings as a couple of weeks ago and with the same results, even though I told the cashier that I wanted extra ricotta cheese, roasted garlic, pineapple, chicken and mushrooms and I wanted the spinach and basil torn, not whole, NONE OF WHICH was produced!

I am VERY DISPLEASED WITH THE WAY this location has changed their process and their lack of care in preparing the pizzas for their customers.

I am writing to let Blaze Pizza Administration know that I am willing to come back one more time, but this time I WILL BE asking for a manager and asking that I have my pizza made the way I requested it, AND, depending on how I am treated when this happens, will determine whether or not I EVER come back to Blaze Pizza again! As it stands 6 of my colleagues were so disappointed with their pizzas that they said they would not return. This is very sad, because Blaze used to be a favorite of ours.

I am willing to give this establishment another chance, but like I said, depending on how I am treated when I speak to a manager about how I would like my pizza AND how my pizza actually turns out, will determine whether or not I EVER come here again!

Please note, upon my next visit, I will be commenting again here on this review as to how I was treated and how my pizza was prepared and if I am not pleased, you can count on me NEVER recommending Blaze Pizza to anyone ever again, and I used to highly praise this Blaze Pizza location and recommend it's pizza to everyone.

I do hope that Management reads this review and takes to heart my message, because they really need to improve their service and product or there business will be suffering and...

We were excited for a nice date night, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.

Upon entering, we immediately felt like an inconvenience to the staff. One employee, who had excessively long nails that didn’t appear food-handler appropriate, greeted us with an annoyed tone and informed us that we would need to wait, despite the fact that we were the only customers in the store. She then explained that online orders had to be prepared first, which was understandable, but the way it was communicated made us feel unwelcome.

After that, we stood for several minutes without any interaction, except for a different person briefly asking about our crust preference. The only reason we didn’t leave was due to the bad weather outside. When our order was finally taken, we paid and even left a tip, hoping it might help speed things along. Once our pizza came out it sat on the counter for a few minutes while they employees were confused about what paper matched to which pizza. There were several pizzas that came out at the same time and they just kept staring at papers.

Additionally, the hygiene concern regarding the employee’s nails was hard to ignore. They were at least an inch long and had sharp points, which could easily tear through gloves, raising food safety concerns.

Overall, the service and atmosphere made us feel unwelcome, and we likely won’t be returning. Hopefully, improvements can be made to provide a more positive experience for...

I am a huge fan of pizza, especially the build your own pizza variety. I decided to give these guys a try as I am in love with Mod Pizza! I ordered online which wasn't too bad (the menu could use a few more details and possibly some pictures - just a suggestion) and headed on over to get the pizza I had finally decided on!

I arrived with a coworker who had ordered a similar pizza and waited for them to finish up (clearly not ready by the time quoted in the email, which wouldn't have been an issue had the restaurant been filled to the brim.)

We waited for 15 minutes after the proposed by and still no pizza. We talked to the worker behind the counter and they said it would be ready shortly there after. While we were waiting another customer came back up and told the worker that the pizza she had received was the incorrect pizza.

The worker took this pizza, removed the lettuce from the top, and then put it in a box for my coworker to take. He had already been handed a pizza that was supposed to be mine (minus any extra toppings I had requested) and we were sent on our way. Having waited well past the amount of time we wanted to wait for a pre-ordered pizza we left with no desire to ever return.
