I was in town on business recently with a free evening to spare, so I took a friend up on his offer to catch up over dinner and cocktails. We agreed to keep it local and relatively close to my hotel to accommodate my early wake-up schedule and morning meeting. Our Google search led us to Brvsh Cul7ur3 which not only had decent customer reviews, but a live jazz band as well so this appeared to check all of our boxes...our consensus provided below:
1.) Physical Environment/Aesthetics: (e.g. Use of Space/Furnishings/Lighting): ~Depending upon where one opted to seat themselves, the abundance of tables/chairs made the (already) small venue feel quite crowded offering only a sliver of space between each for patrons to move about comfortably (e.g. restroom, exit, etc.). ~The poor distribution of lighting and dark accents throughout made the space feel very much like an old, residential basement setting instead of a modern jazz lounge/restaurant. Undoubtedly, an investment in some minor cosmetic upgrading, along with the help of a professional interior designer/space planner would turn things around quite nicely!
2.)Service/Food/Drinks: We were quite famished upon arrival, so receiving our meal in a timely manner was uber important. No, we never expected items to be prepared at "microwave speed", however the wait was a bit long, in my estimation. In terms of quality and portion size, both were passable. As for the drinks rather overpriced options that were justified internally because of the "premium" brands being served.
3.) Entertainment: ~ This was the best part for us and had there been a separate category for rating, the live jazz would have received at least 4 stars for sure! The set began a bit later than scheduled which is why we'd have to omit that 5th star.
If the constructive critique is taken seriously and changes are made, accordingly, then business could certainly improve for Brvsh Cul7ur3 in the coming months/season! Wishing them...

When you enter behind the screen thatâs when you saw the majority of the crowd was an older crowd (which of course should not excuse the urine odor but sometimes the age group may not be able to tell). Anyway the odor was so bad I didnât even want to eat and only stayed because my mother begged me to. Even though I told her I wasnât coming again she begged for me to come with her last night. Last night was worse than before. Even though the urine odor was still there it wasnât as strong but that may have been because there were only 5 other people there. We had paid $30 each for a VIP table which we didnât even need to but what can you do it was already paid for. The owner was there but never came to greet anyone. I asked one of the servers how come it was such a small crowd. My mom and I figured it was because of the football game or the Jewish holiday but I also asked if they noticed the urine odor which they were oblivious to. Shortly after my mom and I were the only customers there with another lady sitting at the bar listening to the band. The band by the way was the only highlight of the evening. my mom was enjoying the band so I was fine with having spent $30 to reserve a table in an empty place. At one point with just THREE customers in the entire place my mom got up and sat in the front seat to take a picture of the band and the owner sent the bartender over to her to tell her to get up and to not sit at that table. Had I known in that moment that thatâs what he was telling her I would have given an ear full. But it was only when my mom came back to the table and told me that I immediately got up from that urine soaked place and left. I will never return again. Ever. So not only did we pay $30 each for the table then the bill was over $100 and to receive that kind of service from the owner. The worst experience...

From the moment my friends and I walked in, we were wrapped in an ambiance that blended elegance with soulful energyâthink candlelit tables, smooth jazz melodies, and a crowd dressed to impress (yes, itâs a "dress up" kind of place, which we loved!). Highlights: The Music: The lineup was Lit, a saxophonist who had us swaying all night. The clubâs "listening environment" meant no shouting over background noiseâjust pure, immersive jazz and R&B. The Food & Drinks: We shared the Signature Jerk Wings âpan seared salmon and NY Strip Steak (a table favorite)âpaired with artisanal cocktails like the "Lychee Martini." The portions were generous, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy. The Vibe: Unlike crowded bars, Brvsh Cul7ur3 Lounge feels like a hidden gem. The owners even stopped by our table to welcome us, adding a personal touch. The seating gave us a great view without sacrificing comfort. Service: Our server was attentive and hilariousâshe recommended dishes and even snagged us front-row seats for the second set. Pro Tips: Reservations: Book ahead (it gets packed, especially on weekends). Dress Code: Think "elevated casual"âlittle black dresses or sleek jumpsuits fit right in 13. Timing: Arrive early for the 7PM show to snag the best seats and enjoy pre-show cocktails Final Verdict: 10/10. Brvsh Cul7ur3 Lounge nailed the balance of luxury and fun. We left already planning our next visitâmaybe for the Latin jazz night! For a girlsâ night thatâs more "classy cocktail party" than "chaotic club,"...
