Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Tempe

I absolutely love Freddy's! It truly was love at first bite! 💕 I usually get the Original, and when I've had it previously at this location, it was every bit as delicious as every other time. However, on this visit, I decided to be adventurous and try the California style, and, to my surprise the lettuce ruined it... at first bite! The generous portion of lettuce appeared translucent as if it had been frozen, which tasted mushy and nasty. Luckily, it was easy to remove, and the "always friendly employees" were kind enough to give me their "best pickles ever", which I added in place of the lettuce... and instantly my burger was transformed into possibly the best burger I've ever had at Freddy's. So, from now on, I'm going to order the California WITHOUT LETTUCE and WITH PICKLES INSTEAD, which I will call "The Best Burger Ever"... all the flavors of the Original with the refreshing and delicious flavor of tomatoes make it even better than usual. I chose to give only 4 stars because lettuce in every restaurant should be fresh, in my opinion. If they can't get fresh lettuce, they should just say "We're out of lettuce" because it ruins everything otherwise. And I'd still like to try their lettuce wrapped burger, but now, unfortunately, I'll have to ensure they have super fresh lettuce before I make that choice. Other than the lettuce, everything else on this visit was great as always... the freshest fries and onion rings; friendly, helpful employees, and a clean restaurant. Did I mention I love...

Actually loved this Freddy's , stitchy 🐻 my 🐕 favorite🙏 Great people , pet friendly & understanding random acts of kindness everyday people , Thank you so much😇 Mesa , Chandler &Tempe Town all have spoiled my bratt who all have awwww @ his terrible behavior or lack of & think so sweet , OH NOT! Stitchy my dog June 3rd, be 4 YRS OLD please don't be rude over ask a good deed , don't go to these places expecting what genorisisty I received for that reason no names but they know who they are. Blessed Stitchy #6 qrt lb hamburger patties plain no buns ect. $3 bucks people my dog & I on the go , Hilton 2weeks , moving , husband over road trucker and living outa storage units x2 , hotel , laundry everyday life plus dropping "our "only truck off tom at dodge yep even car troubles all alone him & I even broke down gave up slept car just because to tierd , WE HAVE PLENTY MONEY JUST BEAT DOWN EXHAUSTED these kind amazing people were as nice as only Jack box did same so 2rare unquie didn't beg fair protein for dog fair price all I asked no hand outs as I ordered myself & he got most that too 🤣 protein survival for stitchy...

This location in particular sucked. We had to repeat each item in our order multiple times (2 crispy chicken sandwich meals-one with fries and one with onion rings, and no lettuce on either, but the tomato is fine, Dr Pepper, and a sobe life water; one Freddy’s single burger meal with fries and Dr Pepper; one additional medium fries) they told us they don’t sell sobe life water even though it was pictured on the menu. They offered fry sauce and we said we wanted some, we also asked for 4 ranches. When we finally got our order, there was no ranch, they forgot the additional fries, no fry sauce, both the chicken sandwiches had only pickles on them and tasted dry. It also took at least ten minutes of sitting at the window waiting for them to get the food altogether and they didn’t even get it right with all the time they had. Needless to say we were frustrated with our order and had we not been in a rush to get to Tucson, would’ve gone back and gotten...
