Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Tempe

I would give this location no stars. Shame on Jimmy John's would not allow me to call Tempe police department or offer to call them for me. I had locked my keys in my truck while returning a charger than did not work. I had a suicidal son and he was the last call I tried before it went dead. I was on an antibiotic that will cause me to burn and one that causes excessive sweating. No battery, no lyft, no tow truck, no locksmith require a phone. The police got me in. I was planning on buying a drink while I waited for the p.d. as the gallon of glacier water was locked in my vehicle. Later the manager wants to clean it up by saying you didnt tell me it was the police well he was too busy shouting off corporate rules while a patron inside jimmy John's was looking up the tempe police and graciously let me use her phone. The police understood the severity and got me in. They are not a charity and I offered to pay him. Install a pay phone if you dont want your customers calling police. Love and much respect to your patron I will loan my 750 phone to anyone if they want it not worth getting shot over! Excessive heat wave!! The manager also said he did have to give me his name and hung up. Too busy being mean to patrons. I live in Casa Grande couldn't just get on the city bus. I had called my older son another patron from walmart called him voicemail. Walmart didnt sale a slim jim. Too much unkindness in the world not enough help your fellow man. I am sure there is a recording device in your store and I have one in my eyeglasses, also on my phone records both parties you hanging up compliments of the many people who say I didn't do that or say that or know. You didnt care to know. That tweet was sent out! Also I guess the employees dont have personal phones. A month ago someone was stranded in the heat with no signal. My car had no room. I would rather die helping someone than to be a business that cant help out a customer. You know that paycheck you get well if I dont patronize you. You dont get it. So get this i never will again. Don't go here if you must patronize dont go to this location! The manager has no since of accountability by stepping up. Instead say corporate says I dont have to give you my name. Well corporate that is why your store is never packed. No accountability for bad behavior. Got a hunch his name is Edward the rude manager mentioned in another revies! Everybody has to pee and it's against the law to do it in public. Whether you buy something that day or not if they buy it for their kid everyday after the gym they should be able to pee at your restaurant as they are...

I came to this store today around 4:15pm and no welcome was given which is fine but when I got to the register no hello or hi was given instead I was met with a young male who had no name tag. And I had to be the one to first say hi can I get a sandwich and he did not say hi back or even look me in the eye instead he had both headphones on his ear . I told him my order. his first words were anything else? Then he told me the total and I took out my wallet to pay with cash and he rolled his eyes and let out a loud sigh and with anger hit the cancel button for the debit card. I felt so awkward for being there and bothering him at his work that I only ordered one sandwich and I wanted to order more. I tried to blow it off but as I was leaving he was changing the trash and then hopped on helping for an online order and did not wash his hands or change his gloves and did not have on an apron the entire time. No apron no name tag no manners and with both headphones in his ears. I will not come back here until this guy is retrained or let go. just came to get a sandwich, and really had to use the restroom. i asked for the bathroom code, and they told me i had to buy something. i told them i was going to buy something, i just really had to pee. i was going to pee my pants. yet they made me sit through the process to buy something just so the code could print off on the receipt. they couldn't just tell me the code?? then i got my sandwich and then had to either leave my sandwich on the table or take my sandwich into the bathroom with me. either risk it getting taken/thrown away or take food into a public restroom (UNSANITARY). they make great sandwiches and they're nice, but that bathroom policy is absolutely not customer friendly and the store manager needs to rethink that process a bit more. it was ridiculous experience i shouldn't have even had problems with, if someone needs to use the restroom then just let them go, for...
