Nad's Chicken & Seafood — Restaurant in Tempe

Quick read: Amazing food. Great value. Super clean.

If you think Raising Cane's has the best chicken fingers, then you haven't been to Nad's. First, the chicken strips are huge. One of Nad's chicken strips is equal to 2 to 3 raising Cane's fingers. But it's more than just the size, the strips are meaty and delicious. And the accompanying sauce is a nice change from the sauce they serve at Canes. The breading is crispy and not at all greasy.

I also got the shrimp. They were exceptional and paired well with the cocktail sauce, which has a little sweetness to it. It was a nice change from the overly hot horseradish sauce most places serve.

And last but not least, the french fries were very unique and tasty. They're kind of like steak fries but thinner. Many of them were crunchy crispy while some were puffed up and were full of fluffy potato goodness.

Unless you've been fasting for a couple days, you probably won't be able to finish your meal. And the combo meal at lunch is only $10.99. Great value..

Lastly, if you read Anthony Bourdain's book, no reservations, you'll know the way to judge if a restaurant is clean or not is based on how clean the bathroom is. I used the bathroom and it was spotless and had no orders. You can also see how clean the entire restaurant and kitchen is when you visit. And for a restaurant that serves a lot of fried foods it doesn't smell greasy and you don't smell like oil after you leave.

I recommend you visit Nad's as soon...

One of my favorite restaurants in Arizona, hands down. EVERYTHING about this place is amazing. First off, the owners are so incredibly kind and friendly. They are always checking on their customers to ensure everyone is happy, full, and satisfied, and it’s so lovely chatting with them.

The atmosphere is awesome. Their bold, bright decor is so cute and it’s a great place to sit and have lunch/dinner with a group.

Most importantly though, their FOOD. My god, some of the best (HALAL!) chicken ever. I could eat their chicken tenders and hush puppies every single day. The meat is always so perfectly cooked, moist, tender, juicy, and soooo well seasoned. My husband and I are also pretty picky about chicken wings, and have had a very hard time finding a place with actually good halal chicken wings, and we’ve finally found them at Nad’s. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu by now and there hasn’t been a single dish that I haven’t enjoyed fully. (Also, if you haven’t had the fried Oreos, you’re seriously missing out.)

I can’t recommend this place enough — seriously, I could go on and on. Love this place. One of the best halal...

We just found our new weekly spot 😱 Nad’s Chicken & Seafood is absolutely to die for! We ordered the honey hot chicken and buffalo chicken, and both were perfectly cooked with that crispy, crunchy exterior and tender, juicy, flavorful meat on the inside. The texture is unreal exactly what great fried chicken should be and this one overdelivers!!

And for dessert we had the fried Oreos….OH. MY. GOD……. They were warm, gooey, soft in the center with that rich chocolate Oreo flavor, wrapped in a light, golden batter that melts in your mouth. Absolute heaven

The staff was beyond incredible, Nader the owner and YUMI greeted us with their stunning smiles, they’re so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they care about every plate that goes out. The place is clean, the service is quick, and the food is fresh and full of flavor.

If you’re in Tempe and craving comfort food done right & want the best fried chicken/fish this is the spot. Can’t wait to come back next...
