Wendy's — Restaurant in Tempe

Here we go. Watching football tonight. I see a wendy's commercial that says Try our NEW hot and crispy fries???? What was the old recipe? cold and limp. So I went to give it a try. Same as usual. Same no taste cold fries. I went inside and was told that they cook them fresh every 30 minutes?? Did the not get the memo? Someone put up a new sign in the drive up menu that says "best fries ever". Got a replacement that were right out of the fryer but still incredibly tasteless. I remember when wendy's slogan was hot and juicy hamburgers and the fries were good too. I guess the recipe has been altered over time to give a good product, get established then find ways to cut quality and improve profits. Burgers are not the same either. Never have I had a juicy burger from this location in almost a year. Used to be a crew here that was on thier game then out of nowhere they were gone and so was the food quality. Its a shame that I have to edit my review from 5 months ago for this. $18 for garbage food. I asked for a crispy chicken sandwich but apparently this is beyond their comprehension as well. The food was as expected yet the service was great, well managed atmosphere @ this location. Thanks for the grub!

(Edited) Ok, I was wrong, the only time their food is half way descent is when they're busy as heck cuz it's all as fresh as possible.

I and some friends are going out after work today and I figured I'd grab some grub prior to the get together, what an absolutely poor choice on my behalf. You would have thought that I had drove up and put an order in, and then they ran to the outside dumpster and grabbed leftovers from the lunch rush from the trash to complete my order. It was chicken and it was stone cold and tasted like cardboard as well as gamey!!! This is no lie, simply a terrible experience and I'll now be forced to choose a new location to find quick grub while at work. If it was as good as the lunch rush, I wouldn't be complaining, not the case. I hate leaving bad reviews, check my track record, I try to find the best in everyone, unfortunately they truly didn't have my satisfaction in mind. I had to throw it all out, live and learn. We did not get what we ordered and after speaking with the manager he was so polite and willing to replace Our missing items with a combo since I only ordered the sandwich. When I got there again the manager was polite and asked if there was anything else he could do to make up for the inconvenience. After he walked away one of his employees had an attitude with me for no reason, and told me it was my fault I didn't get the items Because I left the window to soon. When he brought me my items, I told him it was suppose to be a combo. Still he had an,attiude and,came back to tell me I misunderstood. I did not. The manager told me I could get a combo along,with 2 missing items. I t was simple, upgrade my sandwich to a combo that's all. I wasnt asking for an extra combo. I didn't understand how I could go from talking to a manager with great customer service to an employee who has no business coming at me with attidue. So yes BE WARY OF THE ATTIUDE FROM THE EMPLOYEES. I will never go to this...
