Was there last night 9/9. First visit, Had a party of 5. The hostess not Great. And the server also not great. And I will get into details.
FOOD: Order a prime rib sandwich. As soon as it came out it seemed off I had to dismantle my sandwich. Cause I’m pretty sure it was not prime rib looked and tasted like tri tip. It also had grill marks like it’s been thrown on a grill and even if it was prime rib that’s not how you serve it. Should be rare and baked not grilled well done. There was also as much fat as there was meat. Big ol pieces of blubber, I even had the host come look at it and he couldn’t identify the meat either. Clueless. I will attach photos. I spoke to the waitress and she said “ that’s how it is it’s a fatty meat”. I did not eat the sandwich.
The other person in my party ordered just a tri-tip had some of it there some to go. She felt sick later that night and threw up, we just decided to throw out the rest of the meat.
Some of the food was good and edible, the pork ribs, and the burger
PAYMENT: So fast forward to paying bill. I asked a few questions about the food. And how I felt. As I was paying with cash and card. The male hostess then turned to the rest of my party of 4. And said “he will not let this go will he?” I shared with him that when the bill is $170 dollars and I didn’t even eat the food cause it was not edible.the waitress then said “it was only bread on the plate hon” I told her no the onions the meat and the fat alll still there. She did comp my food only. At the end. I ask a few questions. As I paid with my card. The female server. Grabbed the card machine right after I removed my card. looks at me and said “you didn’t leave a tip on here”. I acknowledged her and said that’s correct. I’m going back to the table. We’re not leaving immediately and we have cash. I shared that information with the rest of my party and based on the waitresses performance, we all decided not to leave a tip. We got up from our seats, exited in a quiet fashion, and the female server was at the table, lifting up every napkin, salt shaker anything on the table, looking for a cash tip and then asked one of the people in my party. Where is the tip? Apparently, Money is all that that’s on her mind
In the photo the prime rib on the right and the fat on the left. Needless to say, unlikely to be back, based on the waitress and staff there. I hope this comes across as constructive criticism. I’m not trying to just...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place but was highly disappointed. I ordered over the phone. When I get off to pick up my order there was a sign that read "wait for hostess". I stand there for a few minutes and I can see the hostess as she is just a few feet in front of me. She doesn't even look up once. I walk in to where she's standing and still no acknowledgement that I'm right in front. Not until I say "Hi, I'm here for a pick up". While I wait, I try and make small talk but it just felt awkward. Strike one: Bad service. The food..ohhhhh the food. I ordered two tri-tip sandwiches that came with fries, and an order of Jack's tacos. I had high hopes for the food. I was willing to forgive the bad service. I came home and tried the tacos first. They were the most basic "carnitas" I've had. The meat was flavorless, unseasoned mush. The tri-tip sandwiches had sooo much fat in it that it was near impossible to take a bite without having a mouth full of fatty blubber. I've had tri-tip that was easy to bite through, these sandwiches were not that. I was literally fighting my sandwich just to take a bite. The fries were stiff and flavorless. Strike two: flavorless, substandard food. All in all, for what we paid for this visit i was not happy. I felt hungry. I paid $50 for three tacos, two sandwiches and stale fries. That was not the problem, problem was the flavorless mush I had to down with my drink because it was just so dense. The fatty parts in my sandwich. The hard, stale fries that looked like I could've gotten them from my local grocery store. I will not be returning. Not worth my...
Read moreThis place is awesome. Food is delicious, atmosphere is lively, and the service was fantastic. Not only is it close enough to the 805 brewery that the beer is super fresh, but they even have a seasonal cider to try! I got the BBQ burger (if there's anything I want between my buns, it's ground chuck) with dirty fries and it was phenomenal. My wife got the philly cheesesteak with garlic fries, and the alphie fries are amazing. Honestly, if you're not sure what to get here, go with anything that has their in house barbecue sauce. We had such a great experience that we got dessert. We don't usually go for desserts, especially at lunch, but I'm glad we did. The brownie sundae is a must have if you're a fan of brownies and ice cream (better than a pazookie!). I'm coming back again when I have the time and money, because this place is worth both! Five stars all around, and big thanks to our server Beth for being both present and attentive at the perfect time, every time.
Edit: Thanks for the reply! Any body seeing this review should read their response, it says a lot about how great it was to visit. I can't wait to come back! (I'll take pictures next time, if I can stop myself from eating for...
