I went with a group of friends for lunch. The hostess was friendly and greeted us quickly. She told us our waitress's name but then made a comment that our waitress's was taking room service and would be back soon. Then she made an off-hand comment about our waitress.. somethingto the effect that she was not friendly..or something similar. 'That was quite unprofessional. We met our waitress and she was nice. ( I think her name was Bianca? She took our drink/ lunch order. We chose the lunch buffet buffet, and it was clean and very good. The buffet included drink, salad bar, soup, rolls, 2 meats, 4 vegetables and a dessert. The hostess overheard us commenting that the glasses were smaller than before and I wondered aloud why they would make things harder for the wait staff because they would have to do refills more frequently. The hostess overheard us and offered to ask the waitress to bring a pitcher of tea to the table. That was awesome. Our waitress checked on us frequently and engaged in conversation with us..made us feel most welcome. When we thanked her and told her she was great, she said to please come back again. Our waitress graciously took our lunch tickets to the hostess( cashier) . When we received our change/ receipts, the hostess had made a mistake. Not a big deal until she argued with one a couple members of our group that she had given correct change... she had not given enough change. The waitress finally was able to persuade the hostess that had made a mistake and brought the extra change that was due. The hostess did not apologize. We will return again because the food and service were good. If we have the same hostess and she makes such a comment, we will express our displeasure with...
Read moreShortly after sitting down and ordering our dinner, a freak storm hit the area. Power to the building went out, and parts of the ceiling started leaking. I was with my wife and our 3 young kids who were were scared, hungry, and exhausted from travel. Our youngest is terrified of storms (and tends to fall apart when tired/hungry anyway), and she was nearly inconsolable. We left the restaurant and huddled together in a corner of the dark hotel lobby, hoping our room key would work so we could eat the crackers we had buried in our luggage. Several times the restaurant staff came to check on us - despite having plenty of chaos of their own to deal with. I was impressed with that, but I was absolutely blown away when they brought out food for us!! The kitchen staff had made it using flashlights and gas skillets. At this point, I would’ve been happy with Cheez-Its and beef jerky, but the food they made for us was fantastic!! I had salmon, which was as good as any salmon I’ve ever had that was cooked in a fully functioning, non-leaking kitchen. I don’t think I’ve ever written an on-line review for anything before, and I probably won’t ever again. But this place absolutely killed it despite the less-than-ideal...
Read moreWe were seated quickly but the food took over 30 minutes (my husband was hungry and let me know). It was just ok. Nothing to write home about. My girls liked the bread and butter but they didn’t bring that till after the food came. Maybe you need to ask for it if you want it in the beginning?
My girls got the pasta and I got the cheese ravioli with Alfredo. It was pretty greasy and buttery so I didn’t love it as much as other cheesy Alfredo’s and my kids didn’t ask for more than the 1 bite which is super rare. Usually they prefer my food and take it all but they liked the bread better.
Overall everyone said their food was just okay. This place is more for the convenience of those staying at the hotel. We only came because our friend was staying for the Pistol Ultra marathon. Then we forgot to tell them that and didn’t get a...
